The 9th Congress of Exemplary Children of Uncle Ho, 2025

This afternoon, March 28th, the Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union Council organized the 9th Congress of Exemplary Children of Uncle Ho, 2025. Attending the congress were the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Chien Thang; the Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Hoang Duc Thang; the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam; the Vice Chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Duong Tan Long; 90 exemplary children of Uncle Ho delegates; and 20 outstanding youth leaders representing over 180,000 youth leaders, officials, members, and children throughout the province.

Over the years, military units, youth union members, and children in the province have successfully implemented the Quang Tri children's movement to emulate the five teachings of Uncle Ho. Youth union work and the children's movement have seen positive and comprehensive development with many innovations, creative and practical approaches, better meeting the needs of caring for, training, and nurturing children in all fields.

The movements such as "Tran Quoc Toan," "Small Plan," and "A Thousand Good Deeds"; the campaigns "For Our Beloved Younger Siblings," and "Helping Friends Go to School"; and the programs "Vietnamese Children - Study Well, Train Diligently," and "Vietnamese Youth Cultivating Virtue and Talent, Leading the Future" continue to receive attention and be implemented effectively.

From the practical experience of the movement, many exemplary children have emerged who have overcome difficulties to excel in their studies, achieving many accomplishments and creating an important foundation for them to gradually integrate, develop, and assert themselves.

According to Pham Xuan Khanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and Chairman of the Provincial Children's Council, the 9th Quang Tri Provincial Congress of Exemplary Children of Uncle Ho is an opportunity for delegates to exchange experiences in movement activities, contributing to building a strong Children's Council organization, worthy of being the core force and reliable reserve force of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

In his directive speech, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Chien Thang, acknowledged and highly appreciated the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Children's Council for their excellent work in caring for, educating , and protecting children and teenagers; and for instilling in them a spirit of solidarity, sharing, and mutual assistance.

At the same time, we highly appreciate the Provincial Youth Union Council's initiative to mobilize members and children throughout the province to participate in donating and supporting the construction of 9 "Red Scarf Houses" for disadvantaged children to celebrate the congress. These small actions of the children have spread throughout society and among the children of Quang Tri a beautiful image and profound humanitarian meaning.

We urge Party committees, governments, departments, organizations at all levels, schools, families, and the entire society to pay more attention to the care, education, and protection of children; dedicating the best feelings and the most practical actions to children, the future seedlings of our country.

We propose that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Children's Council, and the team leaders be closer to the children; and further strengthen and innovate the content, form, and methods of team activities to suit the age and psychology of children.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 3 collectives and 7 individuals; the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee awarded certificates of merit to 10 individuals; and the Director of the Department of Education and Training awarded certificates of merit to 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in youth work and children's movements during the 2020-2025 period. The Provincial Youth Council awarded certificates and symbolic trophies to outstanding youth members and children; and presented 9 "Red Scarf Houses" to 9 children in particularly difficult circumstances.
