A grand feast of music and light by the Han River.

The opening night of DIFF 2026 promises to be a grand feast of music and light, bringing together a host of famous artists from the Vietnamese entertainment industry along the Han River.

According to the organizers, the opening ceremony on the evening of May 30th will not only be a competition between the host team Da Nang and the defending champion China, but also a meticulously prepared artistic performance featuring many top vocalists.

The list of performing artists includes Ho Ngoc Ha, Ha Nhi, Hoang Hai, and Nguyen Tran Trung Quan. These are all well-known names with energetic performance styles, expected to ignite the festival atmosphere right from the opening night.

Besides musical performances, the program also features nearly 70 professional dancers and more than 30 international artists, creating a vibrant and diverse performance space on the largest outdoor stage ever seen at DIFF.

The opening night, themed "Nature," was a showdown between the Da Nang fireworks team and the Chinese team – the reigning champions from the previous season.

According to the organizers, the stage and grandstand system for the festival are basically complete, ready for the fireworks season which is expected to continue to create a major boost for tourism and the night-time economy of the central coastal city.
