Attending the program were the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Ho Thi Nguyen Thao; the Director of the Provincial Police, Major General Phan Thanh Tam; along with leaders of various departments and agencies, the Dak Lak Provincial Youth Union, MobiFone Dak Lak, and more than 500 officers, soldiers, youth union members, youth, forces participating in maintaining security and order at the grassroots level, militia, and volunteer students.

According to the Organizing Committee, the campaign was launched with the goal of supporting people in installing, activating, and effectively using the VNeID application and online public services; and at the same time, participating in the "Digital Literacy Platform," gradually forming basic digital skills for people, thereby contributing to building digital citizens, a digital society, and effectively implementing the Government 's Project 06 in the province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, Colonel Tran Binh Hung, said that to date, the province still has nearly 230,000 approved but unactivated VNeID Level 2 accounts. This is one of the notable "bottlenecks" in the local digital transformation process. Based on this reality, the campaign aims to support the activation of 100% of these accounts, while continuing to recruit and activate Level 2 electronic identification accounts for citizens aged 6 and above who meet the eligibility criteria.

Beyond simply assisting with account activation, the campaign aims to ensure that 100% of citizens are guided on using online public services and VNeID when carrying out administrative procedures; and that 100% of participating youth union members are equipped with basic knowledge and skills in digital transformation to directly support citizens at the grassroots level.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Thi Nguyen Thao emphasized the requirement for all forces and youth volunteer teams to stay close to the grassroots, put the people at the center of service, and ensure that support is practical, easy to understand, and accessible, helping people gradually form the habit of using digital platforms in resolving daily tasks.
At the program, the Organizing Committee launched six youth volunteer teams, including: a team guiding digital citizenship; a team supporting the activation and use of VNeID; a team supporting the issuance of identity cards and electronic identification for students; a team promoting online public services; a team surveying and recording people's difficulties; and a team for digital learning on the "Popular Education Digital Platform".

In conjunction with the campaign, MobiFone Dak Lak donated 10,000 SIM cards to support youth volunteer teams and local people in accessing and using digital services. This is expected to contribute to creating more favorable conditions for digital transformation support activities to reach people closer to the community, especially at the grassroots level.
At the ceremony, the ritual of pressing the button to officially launch the "VNeID Digital Summer Campaign" 2026 kicked off a series of activities to promote and guide digital citizens throughout the province. Following the launch ceremony, youth volunteer teams organized a parade to show their support and carried out their tasks at the grassroots level.

From a launch ceremony, the expectation was not only an increase in the number of activated VNeID accounts, but more importantly, a transformation in people's awareness, digital skills, and habits of using online public services. When digital transformation is implemented through concrete actions, stemming from the real needs of the people, Project 06 will truly be effective, contributing to building a modern, open, transparent administration that better serves the people and businesses.
