The People's Committee of Dak Nong province has just issued a decision approving the plan for planting scattered trees in 2025. According to the plan, the province will plant 73,000 scattered trees (equivalent to 73 hectares), mainly concentrated in Krong No district.
This initiative aims to increase the percentage of green spaces, improve the ecological environment, address climate change, create landscapes, and promote sustainable forestry development.

Krông Nô district is the area chosen by Dak Nong province for this year's scattered tree planting, with 66 hectares distributed across 12 communes and towns. In addition, the Provincial Military Command is responsible for planting 7 hectares.
The total estimated cost for this year's scattered tree planting is over 1 billion VND, sourced from the forest environmental service fund managed by the Provincial Agriculture and Environment Fund.
Tree planting locations include urban areas, residential areas, schools, government offices, transportation corridors, farms, and family gardens… The tree planting period will begin in June 2025 and continue until the end of the rainy season.

The Provincial People's Committee directed that the planting of scattered trees must adhere to proper techniques, use the correct tree species, follow the set schedule, and include regular care and timely replacement of dead trees.
The Provincial People's Committee clearly assigns responsibilities to departments, agencies, and localities, and calls for the participation of the community and businesses in planting and protecting trees, contributing to building a green, clean, and sustainable Dak Nong.
