Dak Nong prepares to plant 73,000 scattered trees

In 2025, Dak Nong will plant 73,000 scattered trees, with the goal of increasing the proportion of green trees, improving the ecological environment, responding to climate change, and creating landscapes.

The People's Committee of Dak Nong province has just issued a decision approving the plan for planting scattered trees in 2025. According to the plan, the province will plant 73,000 scattered trees (equivalent to 73 hectares), mainly concentrated in Krong No district.

This activity aims to increase the proportion of trees, improve the ecological environment, respond to climate change, create landscapes and promote sustainable forestry development.

Krong No District is the area chosen by Dak Nong to plant scattered trees this year, with 66 hectares, distributed to 12 communes and towns. In addition, the Provincial Military Command is responsible for planting 7 hectares.

The total estimated budget for scattered tree planting this year is more than 1 billion VND, taken from the forest environmental service source managed by the Provincial Agriculture and Environment Fund.

Tree planting locations include urban areas, residential areas, schools, offices, traffic corridors, farms, family gardens, etc. Tree planting time starts from June 2025 until the end of the rainy season.

The Provincial People's Committee directed that the planting of scattered trees must be technically sound, of the correct species, on schedule, with regular care and timely replacement of dead trees.

The Provincial People's Committee clearly assigned responsibilities to departments, branches, and localities and called for the participation of the community and businesses in planting and protecting trees, contributing to building a green, clean, and sustainable Dak Nong.
