Ensuring quality and stable supply of E10 gasoline.

From June 1st, along with the rest of the country, Quang Ninh officially launched the sale of E10 bioethanol fuel to replace RON95 mineral gasoline, in accordance with the government's roadmap. Thanks to the proactive efforts of key businesses, distributors, and retail outlets, the transition has been implemented synchronously, ensuring fuel quality, stable supply, and meeting the needs of people and businesses in the area.

From June 1st, 2026, along with the rest of the country, Quang Ninh will simultaneously implement the business of E10 bioethanol fuel to replace RON95 mineral gasoline according to the Government's roadmap.

The nationwide rollout of E10 bioethanol fuel from June 1st is a significant step in the roadmap for developing clean fuels, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and aiming for green growth and sustainable development. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade 's directive, unleaded gasoline meeting current national technical standards will be blended into E10 for use in gasoline engines nationwide, while E5 RON92 gasoline will continue to be supplied until the end of 2030.

As a locality with a comprehensively developed petroleum infrastructure, Quang Ninh has proactively implemented solutions to ensure supply, product quality, and public consensus when switching to the new fuel. Currently, the province has 5 petroleum storage facilities with a total capacity of nearly 337,000 m³. This is a significant advantage that helps Quang Ninh proactively secure its supply, meeting consumption and production needs in all situations.

In addition, the retail petroleum distribution system in Quang Ninh province has 180 gas stations, including 141 on land and 39 on water. All gas stations have completed the necessary technical conditions to implement the sale of E10 gasoline.

All PVOIL Cái Lân gas stations have switched to selling E10 RON95-V gasoline.

From the moment the transition policy was announced, petroleum businesses in the province proactively developed implementation plans, reviewed their storage tanks and technical equipment, prepared supplies, and intensified communication to customers about the advantages of E10 bioethanol fuel. According to a representative of Cai Lan Petroleum Joint Stock Company (PVOIL Cai Lan), in implementing the transition roadmap, the company has completed cleaning storage tanks, inspected the pumping system and technical pipelines, and organized training for employees on the E10 fuel sales process. The company is always ready to explain and advise customers on E10 fuel to ensure their peace of mind. Currently, the company has met all the necessary conditions to sell E10 fuel in accordance with regulations, without affecting business operations or the needs of the people.

As a major distributor of petroleum products in the province, Petrolimex Quang Ninh Co., Ltd. has proactively worked with suppliers to ensure the supply of base gasoline and ethanol for blending in accordance with regulations. Simultaneously, it has developed specific supply plans for each area, ensuring a continuous supply for the entire distribution system. Strict quality control is implemented from the import and storage stages to distribution to the market, aiming to ensure consumers use standard, safe, and environmentally friendly products.

According to energy experts, the use of E10 bioethanol fuel offers numerous economic and environmental benefits. The 10% ethanol content in the fuel ensures more complete combustion, reducing the emission of harmful gases such as CO and HC into the environment. Furthermore, the development of biofuels contributes to reducing dependence on fossil fuels, aligning with the global trend towards green energy.

In fact, one of the key factors determining the success of the transition is consumer confidence in fuel quality. Along with preparing the supply of goods, petroleum businesses in the province are stepping up propaganda and providing official information about the technical characteristics and benefits of E10 gasoline.

Mr. Do Minh Chien (a service driver in Ha Lam ward) shared: "Initially, I was a little hesitant because this is a new type of fuel that is being widely used. I didn't know if there would be any negative effects during use. However, after researching the information, I see that this is an inevitable trend. With quality, environmentally friendly products, people are willing to support and trust them. The biggest wish of the people is that all types of gasoline and diesel fuel released to the market must be strictly controlled in terms of quality, ensuring they meet the standards so that users can feel secure."

To ensure a stable market, provincial authorities are intensifying inspections and supervision of petroleum business activities, particularly regarding quality management, price listing, and product origin. Illegal blending and trading of substandard goods will be strictly dealt with according to regulations.
