Vietnamese football stars light up dreams for 1,000 children.

The "1,000 Footballs for Children" project was founded by Do Kim Phuc, one of Vietnam's most famous football content creators for over 10 years. The freestyle football athlete, a former Asian champion and world number four, is calling for contributions along with the Sports Wish Fund to donate 1,000 footballs to underprivileged children who are passionate about football.

Joining Do Kim Phuc in this project are many stars of Vietnamese football. These include Nguyen Quang Hai, Dang Van Lam, Doan Van Hau, Pham Tuan Hai, former national team players, and Women's Golden Ball winner Do Thi Ngoc Cham...

The project team will directly deliver gifts to barefoot children playing football in 20 provinces and cities, starting in September 2024.

“Traveling along winding roads and reaching places without electricity or phone signal, Phuc realized that there are still many truly difficult situations in Vietnam. Phuc and his team have had to discuss and find solutions many times, not just with the balls, but also with cartons of milk, toys, and other items to deliver directly to the children.”

"Seeing the happy smiles on the children's faces as they held their new balls in their hands, Phuc felt very moved. That's the motivation for Phuc and the team to try harder every day," the project founder shared.

Doan Van Hau and many other stars are participating in the project.

In Tuyen Quang , a province heavily affected by Typhoon Yagi, in addition to donating balloons, Do Kim Phuc's team also prepared improved meals for the children and helped repair two broken bridges so that people could more easily travel across sections where the water was still flowing rapidly.

In addition, Do Kim Phuc has collaborated with the "Sowing Football Dreams" project to organize a trip for 22 children from Ha Giang to Hanoi to meet famous players from the Hanoi Police Football Club. These activities spread, promote passion, and nurture football dreams within the community.
