On April 12th, the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Environment Company Limited (CITENCO), in collaboration with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Thu Duc City, affixed identification stickers (logos) to nearly 200 householdwaste collection vehicles used by private waste collection services in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City.
This is the second time the company has affixed identification logos to its garbage collection vehicles. These vehicles will collect garbage and dispose of it at transfer stations such as So Ga, Linh Xuan, Phuoc Long A, Thanh My Loi, and Binh Trung Tay.
200 household waste collection vehicles belonging to private waste collection services in Thu Duc City have been marked with identification signs.
Mr. Cao Van Tuan, Head of the Environmental Technology and Quality Control Department of CITENCO, said that affixing the logo will help the locality improve management and ensure that the stations are always operated at full capacity. In addition, it helps to better control the origin, composition, and volume of household waste dumped at the stations. Especially, it will limit instances of waste collection vehicles from other localities dumping waste at stations in Thu Duc City.
"This is also one of the important steps, laying the foundation for connecting the Global Positioning System (GPS) of garbage collection vehicles and gradually moving towards digitizing the process of receiving and managing household waste," Mr. Tuan informed.
Previously, CITENCO had affixed its logo to 151 garbage collection vehicles entering and exiting three waste transfer stations: Long Hoa, Long Truong, and Hiep Binh Chanh in Thu Duc City.
