The Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term take place at a time when the whole country is joyfully preparing to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) - a major historical event, a brilliant milestone in the process of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people. 80 years have passed, but the value and stature of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 remain intact. It is a great lesson about the Party's correct leadership, about the strength of great national unity, about the steadfast belief in the path of independence and freedom. Those values have enlightened and guided our nation to overcome all challenges; especially in the context of our country firmly stepping on the path of building and defending the socialist Fatherland, with great achievements of historical significance after nearly 40 years of renovation.

The great achievements our country has achieved after 40 years of renovation under the leadership of the Party have created a time of "convergence" of advantages and strengths to bring the country into a new era, an era of national advancement following the era of independence, freedom, building socialism and the era of renovation. The era of national advancement of the Vietnamese people is a period marking the strong transformation and breakthrough of the country in all fields. This is a time when internal strength, determination to rise and the desire for development not only exist in thinking and policies; but are also clearly demonstrated in the practical activities of enterprises, especially leading commercial banks such as VietinBank.
The 2020 - 2025 term marks the strong and stable development of the VietinBank Party Committee as the Bank continues to maintain outstanding growth momentum in all areas. The VietinBank Party Committee demonstrates high determination in implementing strategic goals, creating pillars from breakthrough steps. Many new foundations have been established, creating new opportunities and momentum for the future development of the entire system. With strong financial potential, strategic vision and innovative spirit, VietinBank has both effectively implemented national monetary policies and pioneered the implementation of many breakthrough solutions, making important contributions to stabilizing the macro economy and promoting socio-economic growth.

The Party Committee of VietinBank and its subordinate Party committees and organizations always recognize and perform well the role, functions and tasks of the Party organization in the enterprise. Proactively promote the overall strength of the entire system; focus on innovating leadership methods, enhancing transparency and efficiency in leadership and management; pay attention to building a united, creative and dedicated working environment. Party building work in terms of politics, ideology and ethics is promoted, implemented methodically and with clear results. Political and ideological education, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and lifestyle are carried out creatively and in depth. The work of cadres, building Party organizations and developing Party members is focused on. The leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees and organizations at all levels are constantly improved through upholding the principle of democratic centralism, regularly implementing the principle of self-criticism and criticism and promoting the exemplary role of the leader. Inspection and supervision work has been strengthened and expanded comprehensively in all aspects of activities, along with resolutely, persistently, and continuously fighting against corruption, waste, and negativity with higher determination, stronger, and more effective. The political capacity, capacity, intelligence, and fighting spirit of Party committees at all levels, Party organizations , and each cadre and Party member, first of all key leaders and managers, have been gradually improved .
Second, maintain the key role in providing capital for economic development, accompany businesses, promote the private economic sector, and aim for sustainable development.
Looking back on the 5-year journey of 2020 - 2025, in the context that our country has experienced unprecedented challenges, the Party Committee of VietinBank has always been at the forefront of implementing the policies and orientations of the Party and State in providing capital for the economy; prioritizing resources to support businesses and people to maintain, recover and develop production, business and consumption after the COVID-19 pandemic. When the economy enters the recovery phase, VietinBank continues to be the main capital channel for key sectors; proactively regulating credit flows into industries and sectors that the Government and the State Bank of Vietnam encourage to develop, ensuring capital flows in the right direction to stimulate growth; contributing to diversifying access to banking and financial services for the economy.
VietinBank has always actively accompanied the business community, from state-owned enterprises, FDI enterprises to hundreds of thousands of private enterprises and business households across the country. Not only providing capital support, VietinBank has also pioneered in implementing many comprehensive financial solutions to accompany businesses. Proactively and responsibly implementing credit programs, credit packages, policies on exemption and reduction of interest and fees, thereby helping a series of businesses expand production and business, improve competitiveness, and make practical contributions to the concretization of the policy of strongly developing the private economic sector - "the most important driving force of the national economy" according to the Party's policy. At the same time, VietinBank has gradually implemented a sustainable development strategy, through promoting credit in the fields of green energy, green export, green construction, bringing environmental and social benefits to realize the vision of becoming a sustainable development bank according to international standards, actively contributing to the green transformation of the country.
Thanks to the right growth orientation and continuous efforts, VietinBank's scale of operations has made great strides in the 2020 - 2025 term. At the end of the term, VietinBank's total assets reached over VND 2.6 million billion, outstanding credit balance was approximately VND 1.9 million billion, both nearly doubled compared to the beginning of the term in 2020. Mobilized capital also increased sharply, reaching nearly VND 1.95 million billion, ensuring to meet the capital needs of the economy. Credit quality is well controlled with a bad debt ratio of only about 1.11%, much lower than the industry average. These figures not only reflect VietinBank's remarkable growth in financial scale; but also affirm the role of a leading state-owned commercial bank in leading capital flows for economic development.
Third, pioneer digital transformation, improve service quality, expand international integration, build an efficient, effective and effective apparatus.
Entering the digital age, VietinBank has quickly seized the opportunity and become a pioneer in the digital transformation of the banking industry. Identifying technology and innovation as the main driving force for competition, VietinBank has built and deployed a comprehensive Digital Transformation Program in all aspects of its operations. VietinBank focuses on expanding its international network, increasing its presence through 2 branches in Germany; 1 subsidiary bank in Laos; 1 representative office in Myanmar; establishing 5 cooperation offices to promote business activities in the markets of China, Taiwan, and Singapore. Thereby, not only strengthening cooperation with foreign financial institutions, partners, and customers; but also enhancing the image and brand presence of VietinBank in the international market. The global business expansion has established the latest piece in VietinBank's transformation journey: Comprehensive digital transformation - Optimizing customer experience - Enhancing employee experience - Expanding global network.
VietinBank has implemented the Project of Streamlining, Innovating, and Improving the Quality of Human Resources with a series of drastic solutions to focus on building a team of staff at all levels with sufficient qualities, capacity, and prestige, meeting the requirements of the tasks. Throughout its development, VietinBank has always implemented the philosophy of taking social responsibility as part of the bank's mission. In the turbulent 2020 - 2025 term, that tradition of mutual love has been strongly promoted by VietinBank. During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to financial solutions to support customers, VietinBank actively contributed to epidemic prevention and control funds, joining hands with the whole country to fight the pandemic with 164 billion VND to accompany the Government and localities in the work of preventing and fighting the pandemic. VietinBank's mark is bold through social security programs across the country through bridges, roads, schools, and hospitals named "love": Sponsoring the construction and giving away more than 7,000 houses to poor households; building hundreds of bridges and rural roads; building 55 schools, giving thousands of scholarships and educational equipment to poor students who overcome difficulties; built 44 medical stations; upgraded and built 2 hospitals; donated 32 ambulances , 7-seat cars, 16-seat cars, blood donation cars; donated medical equipment to medical facilities from the central to local levels; donated over 10,000 social insurance books and health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances; accompanied the organization of programs towards the sovereignty of the sacred borders, seas and islands of the Fatherland, the activities of "Repaying gratitude", "When drinking water, remember the source" across the country...
