After the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025, the volume of vehicles coming for inspection in Bac Lieu and Ca Mau tends to decrease compared to before the holiday.
On February 6th, in an interview with a reporter from Giao Thong Newspaper, Mr. Le Hoang Kiem, Director of the Vehicle Registration and Inspection Sub-Department No. 17 (located in Hamlet 5, Tan Xuyen Ward, Ca Mau City, Ca Mau Province), stated that after the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025, there was no traffic congestion at the unit for vehicle inspection.
The interior of the Inspection Sub-Department No. 17 (Ca Mau) was quite deserted after the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025.
"After Tet, the demand for vehicle inspection by individuals and organizations in the province decreased by about 50% compared to the period before Tet. The number of inspectors at the unit remains at 5 people, equivalent to 2024."
"The decrease in vehicle inspections is due to people proactively bringing their vehicles for inspection before Tet. At the same time, the unit made efforts to process all the applications, so the number of vehicles coming for inspection after Tet decreased," Mr. Kiem informed.
According to Mr. Kiem, after three days of returning to work at the beginning of the year, the number of vehicles coming for inspection has gradually decreased, averaging about 20-25 vehicles per day, similar to the same period in 2024.
"As of this morning, there are about 11-12 vehicles in the inspection center's yard, and the area is quite clear. The unit is still maintaining two inspection lines (passenger cars and trucks), so the inspection process is not interrupted, shortening waiting times," Mr. Kiem said.
At the Bac Lieu Vehicle Inspection Branch, only a handful of vehicles came for inspection on the morning of February 6th.
Meanwhile, at the Bac Lieu Vehicle Inspection Branch (under the No. 17 Vehicle Inspection Sub-Department), Mr. Ho Van Tha, the branch head, said that currently, the number of vehicles coming for inspection has decreased by more than 50% compared to the period before Tet (about 20 vehicles per day, a decrease of about 5-10 vehicles compared to the same period in 2024).
"During the period leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year), the number of vehicles increased dramatically compared to normal days. With four vehicle inspectors (no increase or decrease compared to 2024), the team is determined to work overtime, including Saturdays and Sundays, to process all registered applications. Therefore, after Tet, there are not many vehicles coming for registration."
According to observations by reporters from Giao Thong Newspaper on the morning of February 6th, the number of vehicles arriving at the Bac Lieu Vehicle Inspection Branch for inspection was very low, with fewer than 10 vehicles parked in the waiting area. When a vehicle arrived, the inspectors immediately began the inspection process, ensuring that people did not have to wait long.
