Attending a Party branch meeting in Xeo Dinh hamlet, Tay Yen commune, I felt the atmosphere was frank and lively. During the session addressing community issues, the Secretary of the Xeo Dinh hamlet Party branch, Nguyen Van Hieu, suggested: “There is still a lot of waste in the Xeo Dinh canal, affecting the environmental landscape. Do you have any solutions?” Following the secretary's suggestion, some proposed launching a "Green Sunday" initiative for union members and association members to work together to clean up; others suggested raising awareness among residents about building garbage pits at home to improve hygiene; and some suggested that the hamlet coordinate with the commune to collect and process waste…

The atmosphere of democratic and responsible discussion makes the Party branch meeting a practical forum, linking the study of resolutions with the resolution of local issues. Party member Bui Quang Huy shared: “Previously, many Party members were hesitant and reluctant to contribute ideas at Party branch meetings. Now, everyone boldly raises issues and discusses solutions. If there are pressing issues among the people, they are brought up for discussion at the Party branch. Thanks to this, Party branch meetings are more practical.”

The Xeo Dinh hamlet Party branch has 36 members. To ensure each member is a model example, the branch focuses on political and ideological education, linking the study of resolutions with the local situation. Each member pledges to follow President Ho Chi Minh's example through concrete actions such as mobilizing villagers to donate land for road construction; supporting poor households with livestock and crops… Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu said: “The Party branch has determined that training Party members is not about words or formalities, but about concrete, effective, and practical actions. When Party members lead the way and their words match their actions, the people will trust and follow them. This is also a way to improve the quality of activities and the prestige of the Party branch.”

Simultaneously, the Party branch focuses on developing new Party members from outstanding Youth Union and Association members, prioritizing quality. Annual Party member evaluations are an important criterion in planning and awarding commendations. Besides political tasks, the Party branch cares for the well-being of its members; when anyone faces difficulties or illness, the collective provides timely support and encouragement. Thanks to this practical approach, the Xeo Dinh Hamlet Party branch has consistently achieved the title of "clean and strong" for many years. In 2024, the percentage of Party members who successfully completed their tasks reached over 75%, with no Party members violating discipline.

Building a team with strong expertise.

The Party cell of Thu Ba 2 Primary School in An Bien commune focuses on building a team of Party members closely linked to their professional expertise. According to Ho Thi Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Party cell and Deputy Principal of Thu Ba 2 Primary School, the Party cell considers cadres and teachers as the decisive factor in the quality of education . Therefore, the training and development of Party members is carried out comprehensively in terms of political acumen, ethics, lifestyle, and professional expertise, meeting the requirements of the 2018 general education curriculum reform.

The Party branch has reformed its activities to be more practical. Each Party member is assigned clear tasks, appropriate to their abilities, and is regularly monitored and evaluated. The Party branch encourages members to set an example in applying information technology, innovating teaching methods, and tutoring students who have not met the standards. Inspection and evaluation are linked to a transparent system of rewards and disciplinary actions, creating motivation for Party members and teachers to strive to complete their tasks well. This enhances the sense of responsibility and dedication of each Party member, contributing to the deepening and substance of the "good teaching - good learning" movement. Ms. Cao Thi Tuyet Suong, a teacher at Thu Ba 2 Primary School, shared: “In teaching, I carefully study each student to find the most suitable way to mentor them. For me, this is not only a professional requirement but also the responsibility of a Party member to be dedicated to helping the students improve.”

Thanks to building a team of Party members closely linked to professional duties, the Party Branch of Thu Ba 2 Primary School has achieved the title of exemplary clean and strong Party branch for many years. The school is one of the leading units in the primary school emulation group, receiving many flags and certificates of merit from the People's Committee of Kien Giang province, and is the first school in An Bien commune to achieve national standard level 2.

The specific, practical approaches at the Xeo Dinh Hamlet Party Branch and the Thu Ba 2 Primary School Party Branch demonstrate that when Party members are trained in character and their responsibilities are linked to their professional work and daily lives, the grassroots Party organization will be clean and strong. This is the foundation for grassroots political movements and tasks to go deeper and yield practical results.
