Design

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 Pro has a minimalist design with a dominant white tone. This is one of the few white vacuum cleaner robots on the market. This design makes the product stand out more and creates a highlight for the interior space in the home.

The trade-off is that both the charging station and the robot will get dirty easily during daily use. Users will need to pay attention to cleaning the device more often to keep it looking clean.

The upper area of the charging station is equipped with a large 4-liter clean water tank and a 3.8-liter dirty water tank. The clean water tank and dirty water tank are designed with two different colors for easy identification by users.

Practical experience with cleaning a house with an area of 60m2 (cleaning frequency once a day), the robot can operate for about 6-7 days depending on the setting mode. After that, the user needs to refill the clean water and pour out the dirty water in the tank. Right below is the compartment for the trash bag with a capacity of 2.5 liters. Xiaomi said the bag can collect trash and dust for up to 75 days.

Like all mid-range robot vacuum cleaners, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 Pro cannot overcome high steps or barriers. This feature is only available on high-end robot vacuum cleaners. Therefore, the device will not be suitable for use in houses with many rooms separated by high steps.

Cleaning and maintenance performance

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 Pro has a built-in main brush that can cut hair with two hidden blades. The main brush has a comb-shaped design that helps to shape hair and cut it into small pieces. During the cleaning process, the robot will both suck and cut hair, preventing hair from getting caught and tangling the main brush. The high-speed airflow will suck the cut hair into the dustbin above.

In practice, this solution has proven to work well without leaving any hair on the main brush. All hair is cut into small pieces and sucked into the dust bin. Users no longer have to spend effort to help the robot untangle hair when it gets caught in the main brush.

The side brush is also designed to be flexible and extendable. This design ensures effective cleaning in corners and edges, covering hard-to-reach areas such as wall corners or table legs, chairs and many other furniture.

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 Pro has a fan suction power of up to 20,000Pa, which is among the strongest in the mid-range segment. Therefore, the robot vacuum cleaner can easily handle everyday dirt such as fine dust, small particles, debris, hair and pet hair.

Of course, when used at maximum capacity, the noise emitted is also relatively large. For daily cleaning, users should use it in standard mode to avoid being affected by noise, while still ensuring effective cleaning performance.

Similar to most robot vacuum cleaners in the same segment, Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 Pro also uses a rotating mop mechanism with a long arm. Accordingly, one side of the mop will continuously extend to handle dirt in the corners of the house, next to the wall or table and chair legs.

Some high-end robot models will use a rolling mechanism to increase the contact area with the floor surface, thereby increasing the pressure on the floor and bringing optimal cleaning efficiency. However, this mechanism has a more complex structure, so it usually only appears on some high-end product lines with prices above 30 million VND.

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 Pro will be suitable for houses with one floor, rooms not separated by steps or too high door ledges. The device has a large capacity and the ability to handle tangled hair effectively, can meet the needs of families who often have to clean up loose hair or pet hair.
