Resolution 80 of the Politburo emphasizes the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values ​​in conjunction with economic and social development. For Tuyen Quang, this is not only a political task but also a solution to the challenge of preserving cultural identity in the digital age. To implement the Resolution, Tuyen Quang province has intensified cultural heritage education, initially transforming heritage into vivid lessons for the younger generation.

Heritage is not a framed past.

Currently, Tuyen Quang province, after the merger, has 794 historical and cultural relics and scenic spots, including 215 national-ranked relics, 3 special national relics, 4 national treasures, 308 provincial-ranked relics, and 271 relics in the inventory. The province has 871 intangible cultural heritage items inventoried, of which 53 have been inscribed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Tuyen Quang is therefore known as the "revolutionary museum of the whole country," where every place name and village name is associated with a glorious period of the nation's history, a brilliant milestone in the nation's resistance against foreign invaders. The names "Capital of the Liberation Zone - Capital of the Resistance," "Northernmost Point of the Fatherland," with over 22 ethnic groups living together and an incredibly rich cultural identity, are always associated with the Tuyen Quang region, a famous land of the former ATK war zone.

Based on the province's potential and strengths, recent Party Congresses of Tuyen Quang province have consistently prioritized the preservation and promotion of historical and cultural values ​​for socio -economic development, with a focus on tourism. Tourism has been developed into a breakthrough sector and a key economic driver for the province, with continued planning for national tourism areas such as Tan Trao Tourist Area; Na Hang - Lam Binh Nature Reserve; and Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark. The fundamental solution for preserving revolutionary traditions and achieving sustainable tourism development is for the province to preserve and promote the value of its traditional cultural heritage.

To ensure that the provincial resolution's viewpoints are instilled in all segments of the population, especially the younger generation, the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee has issued Project No. 06-DA/TU on reforming and improving the quality of propaganda and education on revolutionary traditions in Tuyen Quang province, giai đoạn 2022 - 2025, with specific targets, objectives, tasks, and solutions.

At a meeting on the management, preservation, and promotion of cultural heritage values ​​in Tuyen Quang province, Mr. Vuong Ngoc Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, other departments, localities, and relevant units to strengthen coordination in the implementation of tasks related to the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values; ensuring uniformity in the management, investment, and exploitation of cultural heritage. He also called for a review and strengthening of the management of cultural and historical relics in the province; the development of content introducing relics that is both informative and deeply meaningful in terms of traditional education. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of training and improving the quality of personnel involved in state management of cultural heritage and tourism development. In addition, he stressed the need to strengthen communication about heritage; and to promote and encourage public participation in preserving, conserving, and promoting the value of heritage. Organizing cultural events, establishing clubs, teams, and groups focused on folk culture to preserve and promote the value of cultural heritage in conjunction with economic development and sustainable tourism development...

Positive movements

The province's perspective must shift from "static" to "dynamic," meaning heritage should no longer remain dormant in museums or dry textbooks, but must be exploited for its economic potential. The Department of Education and Training has directed schools in the province to incorporate cultural heritage education into extracurricular activities. The connection between schools, heritage, and the community has created a closed educational ecosystem where students are the creators and inheritors. To date, 100% of secondary schools in the province have extracurricular activities related to local heritage. Each year, more than 200 folk artisans and outstanding individuals participate in teaching intangible cultural heritage, and the number of young students visiting heritage tourism sites has increased by 30%. Clubs for Then singing, Tinh playing, Pao Dung singing, Sinh Ca, and Soong Co singing are thriving in schools, especially in ethnic minority boarding schools. In addition, the students also had the opportunity to experience the digital museum and virtual reality, digitize historical sites, and receive guidance on becoming tourism ambassadors directly on social media platforms.

Currently, Tuyen Quang province has implemented many innovative solutions to transform the study of history and culture for students into an exciting experience, elevating the heritage economy to a new level. The province is directing the construction of the Tan Trao ATK Museum in a modern, 3D, and virtual digital direction, aiming to create a "living museum" that combines national identity with advanced technology. The project focuses on digitizing historical sites, using 3D/VR projection, and displaying vivid historical thematic exhibits to attract visitors, transforming it into a unique "Historical and Cultural Park." Thus, instead of just listening to traditional explanations, students and tourists can use QR codes to look up information or experience 360-degree technology. This helps them "touch" history in the most visual way.

Furthermore, the Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union is continuing to implement Project 06 of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee. Youth Union branches throughout the province have adopted many creative and innovative approaches, actively applying digital technology to disseminate information and make the nation's cultural traditions and revolutionary history more accessible to students, youth union members, association members, and children. For example, the Provincial Youth Union organized the "Check-in Tuyen Quang" video creation contest with the theme "Learning about the culture and history of Tuyen Quang province," attracting 60 authors/groups of authors with 65 entries; digitized 52 historical and cultural sites to serve the purpose of promoting, introducing, and providing information about the province's historical and cultural tourist destinations to visitors; and created several video clips to disseminate historical documents and lessons.

Cultural heritage education helps the younger generation and the people understand that preserving heritage is not a burden, but an economic resource. In fact, the development of community-based tourism (homestay) based on the cultural identity of the Tay, Dao, Mong, Cao Lan, Lo Lo ethnic groups, etc., is on the right track. And when people see the economic value derived from their own ethnic culture, they will voluntarily become dedicated and successful preservers.
