Healing in the "roof of the West"
The trend of healing tourism is becoming a popular choice for many people. Mount Cam, known as the "roof of the Mekong Delta," has become an ideal destination for travelers seeking healing. "At an altitude of over 700 meters above sea level, the temperature is usually 2-5°C lower than in the lowlands. This makes it an ideal place to escape the summer heat," said Mr. Dang Van Si, owner of Phu Si Homestay in Mount Cam commune.

From the foot of the mountain, visitors can ascend to the summit by road or cable car. Exploring Mount Cam by road usually begins early in the morning, traversing fields and orchards of young chayote, mangoes, and mulberries in season. After passing through the orchards, visitors begin the climb, which includes some fairly steep sections. The rest of the journey allows visitors to enjoy the scenery and sample various wild fruits such as sim, truong, and bua along the way. The cable car ride to the summit offers an exhilarating experience, as you traverse the misty landscape and admire the palm groves at the foot of the mountain. Visitors can also stroll under the green trees by Thuy Liem Lake or visit Van Linh Pagoda and the Maitreya Buddha statue to find inner peace.
Visiting the "roof of the Mekong Delta," many young people choose to camp overnight on the mountain to chase clouds and watch the sunrise. In recent years, many homestays and accommodations have been invested in with a focus on being close to nature. These include small houses nestled on the mountainside, cafes overlooking the valley, and lush green gardens. Ms. Tran Kim Ngan, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, shared: "I came to Mount Cam not only to have fun but also to rediscover myself. Just sitting and looking at the mountains and forests, breathing in the fresh air, makes me feel much more at ease."
According to many travel agencies, the trend of tourism associated with relaxation, health care, and nature experiences is increasingly developing. With its advantageous natural landscape and unique climate, Mount Cam is gradually becoming a suitable destination for this type of tourism.

An Giang also attracts tourists with its stunning beaches and islands, boasting over 140 large and small islands and a diverse ecosystem. Many tourists immediately think of Phu Quoc Island, a top destination for beach tourism in Vietnam. With its fine white sand beaches and clear blue waters, Phu Quoc always offers a relaxing experience for visitors. Beaches like Bai Sao and Bai Khem stand out with their pristine beauty, perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and watching the sunset. Summer is also the ideal time to explore smaller islands in the south such as Hon Mong Tay, Hon Gam Ghi, and Hon May Rut.
According to tour guide Tran Minh Duc, Phu Quoc is not only attractive because of its beautiful beaches, but also because of its rich primary forest ecosystem in Phu Quoc National Park. Nature-loving tourists can participate in trekking and explore Tranh Stream and Da Ban Stream. In the evening, restaurants in Dinh Cau and Tran Phu fishing village become interesting stops with a variety of delicious fresh seafood dishes.
Besides Phu Quoc, the Nam Du archipelago and the Kien Hai special economic zone are also becoming popular summer destinations for young people. Nam Du impresses with its rustic, simple beauty and crystal-clear beaches where you can see all the way to the seabed. In Nam Du, visitors can experience boat trips around the islands, snorkel to admire the coral reefs, or enjoy fresh seafood right at the coastal fishing villages.
At an altitude of approximately 450m above sea level, Ma Thien Lanh peak in Hon Son, Kien Hai Special Economic Zone, is an ideal destination for those who love to travel. Leaving behind the hustle and bustle of the city, the trail leading to the summit winds through lush, verdant primary forests, fruit orchards laden with ripe fruit, and babbling streams. After overcoming challenging stone steps and steep slopes, this journey offers a sense of tranquility and peace for the soul. The highlight of Ma Thien Lanh is San Tien, a large rock located on the mountaintop, from where visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Hon Son. From here, the green of the forest blends with the white sand and the clear blue sea, creating a stunning summer landscape that entices visitors to explore.
