However, Nguyen Quang Dung denied any involvement in the project. The director of "Southern Forest Land" also stated that he had inquired with the production company, CJ HK, but they were also unaware of the film. "Today, an actor asked me about the project for a casting call. I checked with my friend at CJ HK – the company listed as the producer in this announcement – because I thought there was a small chance that some director with the same name as me might be involved," he shared.
In a subsequent post, Nguyen Quang Dung stated: "I checked with CJ HK and CGV, and no one knows about this project. Please share this with your colleagues to prevent friends from being scammed."
In a conversation with us, CGV also confirmed that they are not involved in the "Goodbye, Mr. Sau" project. They also warned that accessing the posted link risks account loss and added: "This is the first time we've seen this kind of scam; normally, they only do it as a recruitment scam for the theaters."
Recently, the impersonation of Vietnamese celebrities for fraudulent purposes has caused a stir on social media. Many artists, such as Ngo Thanh Van and Ly Hai, have had to speak out to clarify the situation in response to the increasingly sophisticated tactics of scammers. Most recently, Hoa Minzy also suffered when her name was impersonated for the purpose of selling goods. The incident prompted the singer of "Bac Bling " to clarify the situation on her personal page, while also urging fans to be vigilant and avoid becoming victims of scammers.
