Due to favorable weather, currently, most ornamental flowers such as peach, kumquat, narcissus, gerbera, chrysanthemum, apricot, dahlia… serving the Tet market in Hanoi and the North are all guaranteed to be of good quality, ready to be brought to the spring flower markets.

At this time, Hanoi peach blossoms are budding, not blooming too early like many years ago. Kumquat trees planted in Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Nam Dinh provinces are bearing fruit and beautiful buds. In many places, traders have also begun to survey market prices to trade. Tay Ho flower market (Hanoi) has been bustling for nearly a week now. It is expected that in about 9-10 days (from December 20), flower markets in Hanoi will be more crowded.

The Hanoi People's Committee has directed the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion to coordinate with districts to organize 83 spring flower markets for the Year of the Dragon 2024. The flower markets will operate from January 20 (December 10) to 8:00 p.m. on February 9 (the evening of the 30th of Tet) for people to shop for flowers and ornamental plants for Tet.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Chi, Deputy Chief of the Standing Office of the Office of the Coordination of the New Rural Development Program of Hanoi City, for the first time, Hanoi will organize the "Festival of peach blossoms, kumquat trees and OCOP products of regions in the Spring of Giap Thin 2024" (in Nhat Tan ward, Tay Ho district, Hanoi City) from January 26 to February 1. The scale of the festival is expected to be about 7,000m2 with 100 booths and areas for displaying, introducing and promoting peach blossoms, kumquat trees, ornamental plants, OCOP products of Hanoi and many localities across the country.
