- This is outrageous! It's someone's personal page, they can say whatever they want, so why punish them so severely? Where has freedom of speech gone?
Out of curiosity, I approached to introduce myself:
- Hi, fellow charger. What's bothering you?

Seeing someone asking him questions, the young man named Bac seemed to open up:
- I read the news about a famous KOL (internet influencer) being punished by authorities for making offensive and unwarranted attacks on certain individuals. Several news sites vehemently defended him, saying our country stifles freedom of speech and suppresses the voices of its citizens... Thinking about it, I realize they have a point. Social media is about personal freedom; those who want to listen can listen, and those who don't can ignore it!
I burst out laughing:
- Don't you think my car is modern and fast? I have the right to drive, step on the gas, and go wherever I want, right?
The young man, named Bac, nodded:
- Yes, of course. It's my car, and the road is wide open.
"But listen!" I interrupted. "Freedom of driving doesn't mean you're allowed to drive against the flow of traffic, speed, run red lights, or hit other people!"
- That's absolutely right! - Bắc interrupted.
- That's right! Social media can be likened to a highway. Freedom of speech is a fundamental right, but it must be within the framework of truth and the legal system. Using a personal page to fabricate lies, slander, insult the honor of others, or oppose the Party and the State is like "driving against the traffic," and even more dangerously, it can cause accidents.
Seeing Bac frowning in thought, I explained further:
Don't let those news sites labeling themselves "democratic" fool you. No country in the world tolerates "freedom" that tramples on the law. They're not defending that KOL out of any pity for him!
So, aren't they just "too idle"?
- No. They use the guise of "freedom of speech" as a shield for their illegal activities, exploiting the gullibility of social media users to incite discontent and sow doubt. Accepting this harmful practice is tantamount to contributing to the spread of distorted information, eroding public trust, and directly threatening social peace.
Looking out at the orderly line of cars on the highway, Bac suddenly had an epiphany:
- Yeah, you're right. I almost lost control because of those deceitful arguments. Freedom that is disorganized and tramples on others is just destructive freedom. Thank you for "putting on the brakes" for me!
