Surveys at major electronics and technology retailers show that the market for robotic vacuum cleaners is diverse in terms of models and prices. While a few years ago, a robotic vacuum cleaner priced over 20 million VND was considered a luxury, now many models are available for around 30 million VND. This price has decreased after promotional programs, with the initial listed price usually ranging from 39-40 million VND.
According to retailers, the competition among robotic vacuum cleaners is no longer simply about suction power, but is shifting towards artificial intelligence technology, obstacle recognition, self-cleaning capabilities, and minimizing user intervention.
High-end robotic vacuum cleaners currently come mainly from Chinese manufacturers such as Dreame, Roborock, and Ecovacs. China is also the world leader in the production of consumer robotic vacuum cleaners.
Specifically, Dreame's two robot vacuum models are the most expensive on the market, priced at approximately 29.99 million VND and 22.49 million VND respectively. Their standout feature is a suction power of up to 36,000 Pa, among the highest on the market. According to the manufacturer, this suction power allows the robot to effectively handle fine dust, hair, and pet fur on various surfaces.

This robotic vacuum cleaner boasts an ultra-slim design of just 7.95cm while still integrating a full navigation and sensor system. The included charging station has also been significantly upgraded, featuring automatic cleaning of the mop head with hot water up to nearly 100°C, automatic waste disposal, drying, and automatic mixing of cleaning solution.
Some Roborock models are priced from around 23.9 to nearly 30 million VND. Thanks to its special chassis design, this brand's robot vacuums can climb over door sills or steps up to 4cm high, double the common 2cm of many other robots. Roborock also features a dual anti-tangle system to prevent hair and pet fur from getting caught in the main brush.
Ecovacs' robot vacuums are currently sold at around 24.99 million VND. Ecovacs primarily focuses on developing restructured roller cleaning technology. During movement, the robot continuously cleans and washes the roller, ensuring the floor surface is always cleaned with clean water instead of dragging a dirty mop.
How to choose a robot vacuum cleaner?
Besides high-end models, the market is now divided into many different segments. For under 5 million VND, customers can buy several types of robot vacuums with basic functions but low suction power and few smart features, suitable for small apartments.
The most popular models in the 5-10 million VND price range currently offer basic vacuuming and mopping capabilities and app control. Meanwhile, models in the 10-15 million VND price range are typically equipped with navigation technology, multi-floor mapping capabilities, and stronger suction power.
In the 15-20 million VND price range, robotic vacuum cleaners are starting to feature self-emptying stations, automatic mop washing, and more automation features.
According to Nguyen Thanh Trung, a distributor of robotic vacuum cleaners, the price range of 8-15 million VND currently accounts for the largest share of sales because it effectively meets the needs of most households.
For apartments under 100m2 with basic cleaning needs, robot models in this price range meet most daily cleaning requirements.
Robot vacuum cleaners priced above 20 million VND are more suitable for families with large homes, multiple rooms, pets, or those who want almost complete automation of their house cleaning.
Buyers should prioritize criteria such as mapping capabilities, anti-tangle system, quality of automatic charging stations, and warranty service, rather than focusing solely on suction power.
Choosing a product that suits your actual needs remains the most important factor to avoid spending tens of millions of dong without fully utilizing the features the device offers.
However, users also need to consider the cost of replacing the main brush, side brushes, mop cloths, dust bag, and cleaning solution periodically, especially with high-end robot vacuums that have many automation features.
