The unit coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism to organize the Farmtrip program to introduce tourism products from border regions, with the theme "Proud of the imprints of border regions"; to build an electronic handbook to introduce tourism investment promotion projects in Ho Chi Minh City and provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta.
The industry cooperated with the Mekong Delta Tourism Association to support the reception of Famtrip delegations of international travel agencies to survey typical tourist destinations to promote the growth of tourists to Dong Thap as well as the Mekong Delta and Vietnam.
In the 10 months of 2025, Dong Thap tourism industry continued to grow positively with the number of visitors reaching more than 5.4 million, reaching 74.8% of the yearly plan; of which international visitors reached 517,090, reaching 63.8% of the plan.
This is a good sign for Dong Thap's tourism industry thanks to its efforts to build, promote and attract tourists as well as invest in and develop unique tourism products with local identity, creating a new breakthrough in the tourism map of the Mekong Delta region.
Tourist attractions in Dong Thap province such as Tram Chim National Park (Tram Chim commune), Xeo Quit relic site (My Hiep commune), Go Thap lotus pond eco-tourism area (Thap Muoi commune), Tan Thanh beach (Go Cong Dong commune), Thoi Son islet (My Tho ward), Dong Hoa Hiep ancient village (Cai Be commune), Tan Phong islet (Ngu Hiep commune) ... always attract a large number of tourists to visit and experience. Especially, in this year's flood season, upstream communes such as Phu Tho, Thuong Phuoc ... attract a large number of tourists to visit and experience activities such as setting up fishing nets, rowing boats to pick sesbania flowers ...
The industry promotes and promotes tourism through organizing conferences to introduce and promote local tourism to Ho Chi Minh City businesses to strengthen connections and cooperation; introduce potentials, promote the development of linked tourism products, improve service quality; create opportunities for exchange, share experiences, and coordinate human resource training.
Dong Thap Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism strengthens communication activities to promote and diversify tourism effectively. The unit provides destination information for the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) to implement the GMS tourism promotion campaign. Tourist destinations, historical and cultural relics, scenic spots, traditional craft villages and outstanding tourism products are updated and posted on smart tourism applications and mass media, contributing to widely spreading Dong Thap tourism.
