Appearing since the first National Assembly (1946-1960), the National Assembly delegate badge is a symbol of identification for National Assembly deputies. They represent the will and aspirations of the people in their respective constituencies and of the entire nation, exercising state power in the National Assembly on behalf of the people. At the Vietnam National Assembly Museum, a collection of 15 National Assembly delegate badges from the first to the fifteenth terms is prominently displayed at the entrance. Each badge is placed on a red velvet frame, arranged side-by-side to form a neat square. The badges typically feature the national flag with a central golden star. Above the star is the inscription "National Assembly delegate," and below the star is the term of the National Assembly. The exquisite embossed details on the badges make the collection seem to sparkle under the museum's lights.

Accompanying the visiting delegations, Ms. Dang Thi Mai, a specialist from the Information and Library Department of the National Assembly Office, shared more about the badge of the first National Assembly Deputies: “The badge of the first term is circular, modeled after our national emblem. Its simplicity and solemnity reflect the pride and responsibility in building the foundation for the young democracy.” Admiring the collection, I kept thinking about the badge of the fourth National Assembly Deputies (1971-1975). Not only because of its impressive design: a rectangle with the national emblem at the top, embossed with three lines: “National Assembly”, “Democratic Republic of Vietnam”, “deputy of the fourth term”, but also because it evokes the resilient spirit, unwavering resolve, and determination of the army and people of the whole country during the resistance war against the US and for national salvation. Many visitors were moved when they heard Ms. Dang Thi Mai's explanation: "Although small, each badge carries immense historical, political , and spiritual value. It symbolizes the voters' trust, the representatives' lofty responsibility to the people and the nation, and marks the mark of the National Assembly—the highest power body—in the cause of building and developing the country."
The collection of National Assembly delegate badges is a highlight among the 250 artifacts and nearly 1,000 images and documents in the more than 800m² space of the Vietnam National Assembly Museum. This museum houses many special artifacts such as: the Constitution collection, the collection of seals of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and national flags associated with important events of the National Assembly... Each artifact contains a story about the National Assembly's journey of overcoming difficulties and continuous innovation.
