Regarding the 2024 university entrance exam cutoff scores, Dr. Le Anh Duc, Deputy Head of the Training Management Department at the National Economics University, shared with a reporter from Dan Viet newspaper: "The cutoff scores for admission to the National Economics University based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores are expected to increase slightly. The reason is that this year the university allocates 18% of its admissions quota, a decrease of 7% compared to 2023. Secondly, the overall average score of the 2024 high school graduation exam is considered higher than last year."

Dr. Duc also listed some of the university's popular majors: "Currently, at the undergraduate level, the National Economics University is training 35 majors, distributed across 10 training fields including Business and Management; Social and Behavioral Sciences ; Tourism, Hospitality, Sports and Personal Services; Environment and Environmental Protection; Computer Science and Information Technology; Humanities; Journalism and Information; Law; Industrial Management; Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries."
In 2024, the university opened and enrolled students in 6 new majors/programs, including 5 technology-related majors. Candidates interested in technology-related fields can confidently choose to apply for: Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Security, Software Engineering, and Information Systems.
Expected cut-off scores for Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2024
Hanoi University of Science and Technology anticipates that the three majors with the highest entrance scores will be Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, with scores above 28. Majors with admission scores in the 27-28 range include Control and Automation Engineering, Digital Security, and Information Technology (Vietnamese-Japanese, Global ICT, Vietnamese-French).
Some majors only require 20-22.75 points, such as Textile Technology, Environmental Engineering, Resource and Environmental Management, and Materials Science and Engineering (advanced program). The predicted scores for these majors are about 0.75 points higher than last year. 20 points is also the minimum threshold for this university to accept applications based on high school graduation exam scores.
Expected cut-off scores for Hanoi Medical University in 2024
Associate Professor Dr. Le Dinh Tung, Head of the Training Management Department at Hanoi Medical University, said that this year, the B00 subject combination has 311 candidates achieving 28.5 points or higher (excluding priority and incentive points). Based on this number, the university predicts that the admission cutoff scores for top majors such as Medicine and Dentistry will increase compared to last year, but at a moderate level. The C00 and D01 subject combinations have higher high school graduation exam scores than last year. Although this is the first year of admitting students to the Psychology major, we predict that the admission cutoff score will be quite high."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Dung, Director of the Communication Center at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, stated: "Based on the exam score distribution of candidates, along with observations from early admission registrations at the university, we predict that the cut-off scores for Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology this year may not change much compared to 2023. The cut-off scores in 2023 ranged from 16-21 points depending on the major, so we can predict that the cut-off scores for majors this year will also fluctuate within this range. Among them, majors closely related to current career choices and with high competition and 'acceptance rates' such as Multimedia Communication, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, English Language, etc., are expected to see slight fluctuations in scores."
Speaking with a reporter from Dan Viet newspaper, Mr. Pham Thai Son, Director of the Admissions and Communications Center at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, said: "The expected cut-off scores for Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, based on the 2024 high school graduation exam results, are from 16 to 23 points. Popular majors such as Marketing, International Business, Logistics and Supply Chain Management will have cut-off scores of around 22-23 points. Majors such as Accounting, Finance and Banking, Business Administration, Food Technology, etc., are expected to have cut-off scores of 21-22, while some other majors will have scores from 16-18 points."
Expected cut-off scores for the Vietnam Women's Academy in 2024
Dr. Nguyen Phi Long, Head of Training Department at the Vietnam Women's Academy, said that the minimum admission score this year has increased compared to 2023. The two majors with the smallest increase of 0.5 points are Gender and Development and Social Work. The remaining majors increased by 1 point, while Psychology increased by 1.5 points.
Based on an analysis of the 2024 high school graduation exam score distribution, Dr. Nguyen Phi Long predicts that this year's admission scores will tend to increase slightly. In particular, the scores for the humanities and social sciences (Block C) will be higher than last year.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training's plan, from July 18th to 12 PM on July 30th, candidates can register and adjust their college application preferences an unlimited number of times. Online application fee payment will take place from July 31st to 5 PM on August 6th.
The virtual filtering process will take place from August 13th to 5 PM on August 17th. After this period, universities may announce the cutoff scores and admission results to candidates.
By 5 PM on August 19th at the latest, universities and colleges must complete the announcement of admission scores and results for the first round of admissions.
