On the afternoon of March 12th, Comrade Nguyen Hong Dien, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Minister of Industry and Trade , chaired an online conference on accelerating the progress of the 500kV power line project, circuit 3, from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen). Attending the conference from the Thai Binh branch were Comrade Nguyen Quang Hung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of relevant departments, agencies, and localities.

According to reports, the 500kV circuit 3 transmission line project from Quang Trach to Pho Noi has completed contract signing for 225 out of 226 packages; land clearance has been completed for 1,177 out of 1,177 tower foundation locations and 160 out of 503 spans, with 343 spans yet to be handed over; construction work has been simultaneously implemented along the entire route at 1,174 locations, with foundation casting completed at 184 locations. Machinery, equipment, and workers from 33 companies and 334 teams have been mobilized…

At the conference, representatives from relevant sectors and localities presented a summary of the progress in implementing the 500 kV circuit 3 power line project, including: land clearance, handover of tower foundation locations, and transmission line corridors…

Speaking at the Thai Binh branch, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee reported to the Minister of Industry and Trade that Thai Binh province had handed over 107 foundation locations for transmission towers in four districts: Vu Thu, Dong Hung, Hung Ha, and Quynh Phu to the investor and construction contractor. Currently, the contractor has completed the foundations for 17 locations, is constructing 88 locations, and is erecting towers at 3 locations. The corridor has also been handed over for 36 anchor points. In the coming time, Thai Binh province will continue to direct relevant departments, localities, and units to closely coordinate with the construction contractor to proactively secure construction materials to accelerate the project's progress. They will also proactively resolve all project-related issues as quickly as possible according to their assigned functions and responsibilities, aiming to complete the project and put it into operation as planned.

Concluding the conference, the Minister of Industry and Trade acknowledged and highly appreciated the decisive involvement of the localities in their efforts to hand over 100% of the foundation pits for the pylons to the contractors. With the goal of completing the project before June 30th of this year and ensuring quality, the Minister requested that relevant sectors and localities review several related tasks to promptly resolve any obstacles during implementation. Provinces with projects passing through them should vigorously urge and direct their departments and localities to coordinate with the investor to continue effectively disseminating information and mobilizing affected households to create consensus for the completion of land clearance for the anchorage areas and corridors, thereby creating favorable conditions for construction units to accelerate progress. The construction contractors are required to coordinate closely with local authorities and relevant units, mobilizing maximum human and material resources, upholding a high sense of responsibility, being proactive and creative, and applying modern scientific and technological solutions to implement the project. The Vietnam Electricity Group and the National Power Transmission Corporation need to recognize their role as the project's investor and fulfill their responsibilities in urging contractors to accelerate construction progress while ensuring quality. They must effectively inspect, supervise, and urge contractors to concentrate all resources at construction sites according to the project's committed timeline.
