Energizing the entire 500kV line circuit 3 Quang Trach

With the successful energization of the 500kV line 3 project from Quang Trach to Quynh Luu, EVNNPT has opened the entire 500kV line 3 from Quang Trach to Pho Noi.

On the evening of August 27, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), the Central Power Project Management Board (CPMB) coordinated with relevant units to successfully energize the project. 500kV line circuit 3 Quang Trach - Quynh Luu, the entire 500kV line 3 circuit from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi ( Hung Yen ) is open.

The component project passes through many complex terrains.

The 500kV Quang Trach - Quynh Luu transmission line project is 226km long, passing through the provinces of Quang Binh, Ha Tinh , and Nghe An. The project has 463 column foundation locations, including 237 column locations on mountains, passing through many complex terrains with 197 corridor anchorages; 7 anchorages crossing rivers and large lakes, and 15 anchorages crossing national highways.

This is the longest component project in the entire 500kV line. The project was implemented from January 18, and the investor-level acceptance council met on August 24 and agreed to energize.

According to the Prime Minister 's direction, the line must be completed to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

The project, once completed, will help reduce and avoid overloading for the 500kV line existing lines ensure the N-1 criterion (when there is a problem with the line, another line will replace it to stabilize the system - PV). Especially when the transmission capacity is high along the Central - North interface at a time when the Northern hydropower plants generate low power.

The line also helps to increase the stable transmission reserve on the Central - North interface, combined with the 500kV Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa - Nam Dinh I - Pho Noi lines as well as the completed circuit 3 lines from Pleiku 2 - Doc Soi - Quang Trach, contributing to supplementing capacity from power sources in the South Central region to the load center in the Northern region.

According to the leader EVNNPT, besides favorable factors, during the implementation process, the project encountered many difficulties and challenges in mobilizing machinery and equipment for simultaneous construction on the entire route.

In particular, the difficulty of the route's terrain with many locations on high hills and mountains, the road to the column foundation locations is difficult, especially difficult when it rains, the road is steep, slippery, and the construction site is not favorable.

Especially in unfavorable weather conditions with many days of rain, storms, thunderstorms, extreme heat, many days with strong winds lasting from 3 to 7 hours, and thunderstorms... so there were many times when construction had to be stopped to ensure the safety of workers and construction equipment.

Mobilizing the total power sector and other forces

With a huge volume of steel columns while the progress required in a short time, EVNNPT together with CPMB and contractors have made efforts to focus on production, implementing specific solutions to speed up production progress.

However, implementing the Prime Minister's direction with the spirit of "only discussing work, not retreating", "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, not losing to the storm", working "3 shifts, 4 shifts", "eating quickly, sleeping urgently", EVNNPT mobilized forces to implement the project.

Along with the main force of construction contractors, electricity industry mobilized forces from EVNNPT and 5 power corporations to participate in construction support with a large number of qualified, experienced and skilled human resources.

EVNNPT also received construction manpower support from the military, Viettel Group, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group... to participate in supporting pole erection and wire pulling.

The project's completion and energization meeting the Prime Minister's direction is a great motivation for the entire construction site of the 500kV line 3 project to complete acceptance and inauguration in the coming days according to the Prime Minister's direction.
