Speed up the implementation of key projects to welcome Party Congresses at all levels

In May 2025, the province continued to carry out 06 key tasks, which are to deploy key projects and works in the province, focusing on the project to build a coastal corridor road in Tra Vinh province, Co Chien 2 bridge; focusing on accelerating the progress of the freshwater reservoir infrastructure project along the Lang The river bank (phase 1), which has so far reached over 47% of the volume.

Comrade Hong Ngoc Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance, informed about the results of implementing socio -economic development tasks in May and the first 5 months of 2025.

Building and maintaining more than 70 agricultural product brands, maintaining and granting new 108 growing area codes with more than 7,496 hectares, including 18 coconut growing area codes with an area of 1,849 hectares and 62 domestic growing area codes with an area of more than 3,968 hectares. The whole province has more than 31,809 hectares of high-tech agricultural production; 433 hectares of clam farming with ASC certification; 762 livestock and poultry farms with 546,900 heads; 26 breeding facilities participating in the chain.

Comrade Tran Phong Ba, Chairman of Cau Ke District People's Committee, suggested operating the Can Chong culvert well to serve the rice production area.

Carrying out 03 breakthrough tasks, the province regularly implements the maintenance and repair of bridges and roads to ensure synchronization, connectivity, and create momentum for socio-economic development; completes the Provincial Road 915B project, phase 2; and reviews and inspects the location and detailed technical specifications for the construction of Dan Thanh Inland Waterway Wharf, Duyen Hai town.

Comrade Pham Quoc Dung, Head of Tax Department of Region XVIII, spoke about resolving tax debt.

Regarding the implementation of 03 national target programs, by May 19, 2025, 57,864/198,687 billion VND had been disbursed. In May, budget revenue was 1,379 billion VND, increasing the revenue in 05 months to 9,769 billion VND, up 9.5% over the same period. Budget expenditure in 05 months was 4,045 billion VND, up 6.2% over the same period, mainly due to increased regular expenditure.

Comrade Pham Phuoc Trai, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, informed about the situation of fake, counterfeit and poor quality goods.

Regarding agricultural and aquatic production, continue to replicate the Project "Sustainable development of 01 million hectares of high-quality and low-emission rice cultivation associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta by 2030" in Tra Vinh province. During the month, farmers in the province planted 29,246 hectares of summer-autumn rice; harvested 10,544 hectares of winter-spring rice; increased 05 months to 94,042 hectares of rice, estimated output reached 421,165 tons, 2,839 tons higher than the same period, average yield reached 6.72 tons/ha.

Comrade Tran Truong Giang, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, informed about internal irrigation work.

Regarding crops, 4,421 hectares of crops, short-term industrial crops and other annual crops were planted; after 5 months, 32,169 hectares were planted, with an output of 620,286 tons. Aquaculture, new farming area in October, 689 hectares, after 5 months, the farming area reached 43,746 hectares, mainly 19,380 hectares of black tiger shrimp, 18,028 hectares of crab, 4,892 hectares of white-leg shrimp (high-density farming 436.89 hectares). Although entering the rainy season, the water environment is not stable, pathogens develop, causing damage to 54.5 million black tiger shrimp and 385 million white-leg shrimp, farmers harvested a total farming output of 54,968 tons, 2,762 tons higher than the same period.

Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hai, Director of the Provincial Police Department, approved the results of Project 06.

Investment and trade promotion; business development, collective economy, cooperatives, attracted 01 investment project in the month, up to now attracted 05 domestic investment projects with 3,274 billion VND. 30 new enterprises were established, bringing the total to 261 newly established enterprises, 136 enterprises were temporarily suspended, 80 enterprises were dissolved; compared to the same period, the number of newly established enterprises increased by 74 enterprises.

Comrade Chau Van Hoa, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, spoke about the progress of implementing the national target program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

Investment and basic construction, by May 19, 2025, disbursed 726,945/4,369,122 billion VND, reaching 16.6% of the plan. Implement local adjustments to the general planning of Tra Vinh city (expansion) until 2045 and the detailed planning of Duyen Hai District Administrative Center. By May 2025, the urbanization rate of the whole province reached 43.33%, exceeding the target of the Resolution for 2025.

Comrade Nguyen Quynh Thien, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, spoke about the situation of public land management and public land auction.

The conference approved the results of the implementation of the Project "Developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period of 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030 in the province (Project 06); results, limitations, and solutions for implementing digital transformation.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Han directed: in the coming time, provincial departments, branches and localities will continue to pay attention to the disbursement of public investment capital; speed up the progress of key projects, especially those to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels; focus on strictly handling the situation of fake, counterfeit and poor quality goods; focus on completing intra-field irrigation works by the end of May 2025; proactively take measures to respond to natural disasters; strengthen the work of ensuring the safety of dikes and irrigation works during the rainy and stormy season in 2025.

Strengthen financial and state budget discipline; implement solutions to collect correctly and fully, exploit remaining revenue sources; effectively implement regulations on electronic invoices.
