Attending the conference were Comrade Le Thanh Binh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; and representatives of leaders from provincial departments, agencies, districts, towns, and cities.

In May 2025, the province continued to implement six key tasks, including deploying key projects in the province, focusing on the construction of the coastal corridor road in Tra Vinh province and the Co Chien 2 bridge; and concentrating on accelerating the progress of the freshwater reservoir infrastructure project along the Lang The riverbank (phase 1), which has now reached over 47% of its volume.

Comrade Hong Ngoc Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance, provided information on the results of implementing socio -economic development tasks in May and the first five months of 2025.

The province has built and maintained over 70 agricultural product brands, maintained and newly issued 108 planting area codes covering more than 7,496 hectares, including 18 coconut planting area codes with an area of ​​1,849 hectares and 62 inland planting area codes with an area of ​​more than 3,968 hectares. The entire province has over 31,809 hectares of high-tech agricultural production; 433 hectares of clam farming certified under ASC standards; 762 livestock and poultry farms with 546,900 animals; and 26 livestock facilities participating in value chain linkages.

Comrade Tran Phong Ba, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cau Ke District, suggested that the sluice gate be operated properly to serve the rice production area.

Implementing three breakthrough tasks, the province regularly carries out maintenance and repair work on bridges and roads to ensure synchronization and connectivity, creating momentum for socio-economic development; completed phase 2 of the Provincial Road 915B project; and conducted a review and inspection of the location and detailed technical parameters for the construction of the Dan Thanh Inland Waterway Terminal in Duyen Hai town.

Comrade Pham Quoc Dung, Head of the Tax Department of Region XVIII, spoke about resolving the issue of tax arrears.

Regarding the implementation of the three national target programs, as of May 19, 2025, 57.864/198.687 billion VND had been disbursed. In May, budget revenue reached 1.379 billion VND, bringing the total revenue for the first five months to 9.769 billion VND, an increase of 9.5% compared to the same period last year. Budget expenditure for the first five months was 4.045 billion VND, an increase of 6.2% compared to the same period last year, mainly due to increased recurrent expenditure.

Comrade Pham Phuoc Trai, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, provided information on the situation regarding counterfeit, fake, and substandard goods.

Regarding agricultural and fisheries production, the project "Sustainable Development of 1 Million Hectares of High-Quality, Low-Emission Rice Cultivation Associated with Green Growth in the Mekong Delta by 2030" continues to be expanded in Tra Vinh province. During the month, farmers in the province planted 29,246 hectares of summer-autumn rice; harvested 10,544 hectares of winter-spring rice; bringing the total planted area in the first five months to 94,042 hectares, with an estimated yield of 421,165 tons, 2,839 tons higher than the same period last year, and an average yield of 6.72 tons/ha.

Comrade Tran Truong Giang, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, provided information on inland irrigation work.

Regarding crops, 4,421 hectares were planted with short-term industrial crops and other annual crops; bringing the total planted area in the first five months to 32,169 hectares, yielding 620,286 tons. In aquaculture, the area of ​​new farming in the month reached 10,689 hectares, bringing the total farming area in the first five months to 43,746 hectares, mainly tiger shrimp (19,380 hectares), crab (18,028 hectares), and whiteleg shrimp (4,892 hectares) (high-density intensive farming of 436.89 hectares). Despite entering the rainy season, the water environment was still unstable, and disease outbreaks caused losses of 54.5 million tiger shrimp and 385 million whiteleg shrimp. Farmers harvested a total production of 54,968 tons, 2,762 tons higher than the same period last year.

Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hai, Director of the Provincial Police, announced the results of Project 06.

Regarding investment and trade promotion; development of enterprises, collective economy, and cooperatives, in the month, 01 investment project was attracted, bringing the total to 05 domestic investment projects with 3,274 billion VND. 30 new enterprises were established, bringing the total to 261; 136 enterprises temporarily ceased operations, and 80 enterprises were dissolved; compared to the same period last year, the number of newly established enterprises increased by 74.

Comrade Chau Van Hoa, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivered a speech on the progress of implementing the national target program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

Regarding investment and basic construction, as of May 19, 2025, 726.945/4.369.122 billion VND had been disbursed, reaching 16.6% of the plan. Local adjustments were made to the general planning of Tra Vinh city (expanded) until 2045 and the detailed planning of the Duyen Hai District Administrative Center. By May 2025, the urbanization rate of the entire province reached 43.33%, exceeding the target set in the Resolution for 2025.

Comrade Nguyen Quynh Thien, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, gave a speech on the situation of public land management and public land auctions.

The conference approved the results of the implementation of the Project "Development of data applications on population, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030 in the province" (Project 06); the results, limitations, and solutions for implementing digital transformation.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Han directed: in the coming time, provincial departments and localities should continue to pay attention to the disbursement of public investment capital; accelerate the progress of key projects, especially those celebrating the Party Congress at all levels; focus on strictly handling the situation of counterfeit, fake, and substandard goods; focus on decisively completing the construction of inland irrigation works by the end of May 2025; proactively implement measures to respond to natural disasters; and strengthen the work of ensuring the safety of dikes and irrigation works during the 2025 rainy and stormy season.

Comrade Le Van Han, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivered a speech at the conference.

Strengthen financial discipline and order in the state budget; implement solutions to collect taxes correctly and fully, exploit remaining revenue sources; and effectively implement regulations on electronic invoices.

Effectively carry out information and communication work to prevent and control dangerous infectious diseases in humans, especially at a time when the Covid-19 epidemic is showing signs of resurgence as recommended by the Ministry of Health; promote and encourage people to actively participate in health insurance.

Prepare and organize the 2025 high school graduation exam and the 2025-2026 high school entrance exam. Urgently review and prioritize the completion of housing support for the relatives of martyrs and for those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution before National Day on September 2nd.
