(BL-NQ) According to the Bac Lieu Provincial Housing and Land Fund Development Center (hereinafter referred to as the Center), the progress of compensation payments for 5 projects has basically met the set plan, contributing to accelerating the implementation of the projects.
A prime example is the progress in implementing the compensation, support, and resettlement plan for the Ho Chi Minh Highway construction project, specifically the Rach Soi - Ben Nhat and Go Quao - Vinh Thuan sections (the section passing through Bac Lieu province), with a total compensation and support amount of 95.8 billion VND. The Center has paid compensation to 104 out of 105 individuals and households affected by the project, and these households have agreed to hand over the land as per regulations. As a result, the unit has handed over 6.45 out of 6.6 km to the contractor for construction and aims to expedite the completion of procedures for relocating technical infrastructure facilities.
The Hau Giang - Ca Mau section of the North-South Expressway Eastern section project has completed the handover of land to the investor and construction unit. The Center, together with the local authorities, has paid 24.2 billion VND in compensation to 112 households and individuals.
The investment project to build a new urban area in Phuoc Long town (Phuoc Long district) has paid nearly 90 billion VND in compensation to 30 out of 80 individuals and households.
The project to build the road from Trem Trem to Xeo Quao (Ngan Dua town, Hong Dan district) has paid compensation and support to 149 households and individuals whose land was affected by the project.
And for the investment project to build Ganh Hao Town High School (Dong Hai District), compensation and support have so far been paid to 12 out of 36 households and individuals whose land was affected by the project, with a total amount of 4.6 billion VND.
The above results demonstrate the Center's efforts in implementing compensation and land clearance work, making a significant contribution to accelerating the progress of socio-economic development projects in the province.
