On June 7th, Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang and Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat answered questions before the National Assembly. This was the first time both ministers had appeared before the National Assembly.

“Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang, appearing before the National Assembly for the first time, displayed a mature demeanor, a firm grasp of the field, and answered frankly. Although lacking expertise in transport, his experience from various positions allowed him to accurately address the questions posed by the National Assembly deputies. I hope the Minister will be able to resolve the current bottlenecks and shortcomings in the development of transport infrastructure as well as in the state management of transport.”
Regarding Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat, it's possible that because it was his first time answering questions and he wasn't well-prepared, he initially lacked confidence and seemed nervous before the National Assembly. However, he gradually improved his answers afterward.”

*Representative Nguyen Dai Thang (Hung Yen): We need to clearly identify the bottlenecks.
We are focusing on developing transportation infrastructure, building many expressways, including removing bottlenecks related to land clearance, land, and materials... to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital, especially for transportation projects. I am questioning and hoping that through this questioning, the Minister of Transport will clearly see the bottlenecks and shortcomings in the field and find solutions to overcome them. Along with the upcoming laws, especially the amended Land Law, we will have a synchronized institutional framework to strongly develop transportation infrastructure, creating conditions for the country's development.
The Minister also clearly acknowledged the weaknesses in state management of transportation, including the vehicle inspection sector.

Representative Nguyen Quang Huan (Binh Duong): The questions raised by National Assembly representatives reflect expectations.
I sympathize with Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat because this is a very broad and important field, and many things are truly a "burden" placed on the Minister's shoulders. However, the questions from the National Assembly deputies reflect our expectations for science and technology, a top national priority. I feel that the Minister's answers were constructive and went straight to the point.
In particular, I highly appreciate the way National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue conducted the questioning session, which was very focused on the issues.
