De Bruyne is expected to undergo a medical at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome on June 3, then sign a two-year contract with the Serie A champions, with an option to extend for a further year.

De Bruyne decided to prioritise the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with Belgium before completing his move, which does not change the fact that he has opted to join Napoli after his contract with Man City expires.

The 33-year-old midfielder is said to be on a salary of around €5.5m per season, along with a signing-on bonus of up to €10m.
