To make school output meet business input

Training linking schools and businesses has been effectively implemented by many schools, providing not only internship and practice opportunities for students but also specialized knowledge and necessary skills to meet labor market requirements.

Principal of Hanoi College of Transport and Public Works Tran Viet Hung informed that to ensure the goal of practical learning and practice, the school promotes close cooperation with enterprises in training, building programs, curriculum, receiving interns and arranging jobs after graduation. With such a closed training cycle, many students after graduation have jobs with stable incomes from 7 - 12 million VND/month, there are industries/professions where students have high incomes from 10 - 15 million VND/month. In particular, there are students who go abroad to work after graduation with incomes up to 70 million VND/month.

With the goal of training associated with enterprises, production and business, Hanoi Industrial Vocational College has coordinated with enterprises to train knowledge, skills and industrial style for students at the school, then they directly study and practice as technicians at smart manufacturing enterprises such as VinFast , FUNA-AI Vietnam... Thereby, the quality of human resources trained by the school has been improved; after graduation, students have certificates from prestigious enterprises and receive preferential treatment when entering the labor market.

In addition, the school also strengthens international cooperation in training, mobilizes sponsorship from international organizations to support vocational training for disadvantaged youth in the Hanoi area with a converted amount of money for training up to 50 billion VND. The result is that over 80% of students find jobs or create their own jobs immediately after graduation; in some occupations and some schools, nearly 100% of students have jobs right after graduation.

These are remarkable results in the context of statistics in the third quarter of 2024, the whole country has 1.05 million unemployed people of working age. The Hanoi Employment Service Center (Hanoi Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs) pointed out that the reason is because young people have just graduated from school and lack practical work experience. Many jobs require special skills that young workers may not have, such as technical skills, leadership skills or management skills. Another reason why young workers have difficulty finding jobs is that businesses require high degrees and certificates. This can be a barrier for young workers who have just graduated from school or do not have the conditions to study.

Mr. Chu Van Tuan - Deputy Director of the Center for Employment and Entrepreneurship Support (Electricity University) believes that the output products of the school are the input products for enterprises. Cooperation between schools and enterprises is an inevitable trend. Currently, the Electricity University is cooperating with more than 200 domestic and foreign enterprises in different fields and industries. The experience from the school is to connect with the alumni network system. After graduating, successful alumni have accumulated knowledge, experience, and practical skills, and will be able to return to support the school. From there, the implementation of cooperation between schools and enterprises will become more systematic, synchronous, and professional. That is an opportunity for us to create a healthy, positive ecosystem environment, optimizing outstanding efficiency.

Besides, because the school's business connection network is very large, it is necessary to focus on promoting optimal efficiency through programs and activities to maintain and create an ecosystem so that participating businesses do not feel bored.

Schools need to increase the organization of career guidance programs, job fairs, field trips, and internship guidance for students at businesses to enhance "real-life" skills and the ability to rub shoulders with learners in a practical working environment.
