The Ministry of Health has requested a halt to the circulation of Almercrème R941 Non Dairy Creamer, a non-dairy creamer powder product self-declared by a company in Hanoi, due to violations of regulations.

On May 31st, the Food Safety Department ( Ministry of Health ) announced that it had issued a notice requesting a temporary suspension of the circulation of non-dairy creamer powder (Almercrème R941 Non Dairy Creamer) (Batch no: 0009529937, manufactured on April 8, 2025, expiry date April 8, 2027), quantity 26 bags (25 kg/bag) from May 28th.

The above product is self-declared by Thai Son Bac Trading and Service Co., Ltd. (Bau village, Kim Chung commune, Dong Anh district, Hanoi ); manufactured by Kerry Ingredients (M) Sdn Bhd (Malaysia).

The business establishment whose products were inspected is Vinmate Trading & Services Co., Ltd. (Dong Trung area, Dai Phuc ward, Bac Ninh city, Bac Ninh province).

The reason given for suspending circulation is a violation of mandatory labeling requirements (ingredients).

Non-dairy creamer powder is commonly used to make milk tea, coffee, and other beverages.

The Food Safety Department requires Vinmate Trading & Services Co., Ltd. (the business entity) to contact Thai Son Bac Trading & Services Co., Ltd. (the entity making the declaration) to implement corrective measures within 10 days. The aforementioned goods are only permitted to continue circulating if the corrective actions have been satisfactory and the inspection agency issues a notice allowing the goods to continue circulating in the market.

Non-dairy creamer is a creamy ingredient that replaces animal milk powder in beverages such as milk tea, coffee, and milkshakes. Non-dairy creamer typically enhances the richness and creaminess of a drink, resulting in a more intense flavor.

Recently, authorities have repeatedly discovered and dismantled networks producing and selling counterfeit medicines, fake milk powder, fake dietary supplements, and fake cosmetics, affecting the health of consumers. A prime example is the Ministry of Public Security's crackdown on a network producing and selling counterfeit milk powder for premature babies, people with diabetes, kidney failure, and pregnant women, generating nearly 500 billion VND in revenue.

During the peak month of efforts to prevent and combat smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property infringement, the Ministry of Health established 15 surprise inspection teams to check the fields of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, traditional medicine, milk, functional foods, medical equipment, etc.
