Proposal to stop circulation of non-dairy creamer powder

The Ministry of Health has proposed to stop the circulation of non-dairy creamer powdered food ingredients labeled Almercrème R941 Non Dairy Creamer by a company in Hanoi due to violations of regulations.

On May 31, the Department of Food Safety ( Ministry of Health ) announced that it had just issued a notice requesting the temporary suspension of circulation of non-dairy creamer powder (Almercrème R941 Non Dairy Creamer) (Batch no: 0009529937, manufactured on April 8, 2025, expiry date April 8, 2027), quantity of 26 bags (25 kg/bag) from May 28.

The above product is self-declared by Thai Son Bac Trading and Service Company Limited (Bau village, Kim Chung commune, Dong Anh district, Hanoi ); manufactured by Kerry Ingredients (M) Sdn Bhd (Malaysia).

The business establishment selling the inspected product is Vinmate Trading & Service Company Limited (Dong Trung area, Dai Phuc ward, Bac Ninh city, Bac Ninh province).

The reason for the suspension of circulation was given as violation of mandatory content on the product label (ingredients).

The Food Safety Department requests Vinmate Trading & Service Co., Ltd. (business location) to be responsible for contacting Thai Son Bac Trading & Service Co., Ltd. (publication location) to implement handling and corrective measures within 10 days. The above goods are only allowed to continue circulating if satisfactory corrective actions have been taken and the inspection agency has issued a notice that the goods are allowed to continue circulating on the market.

Non-dairy creamer is a fatty ingredient that replaces animal milk powder in mixed drinks such as milk tea, coffee, milkshakes... Non-dairy creamer often increases the feeling of fat, making the flavor richer.

Recently, the authorities have continuously discovered and dismantled production and trade lines of fake medicines, fake milk powder, fake functional foods, fake cosmetics, affecting the health of consumers. Typically, the Ministry of Public Security dismantled a production and consumption line of fake milk powder for premature babies, people with diabetes, kidney failure, pregnant women, with revenue of nearly 500 billion VND.

To implement the peak month of preventing and repelling smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights, the Ministry of Health established 15 teams to conduct surprise inspections in the fields of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, traditional medicine, milk, functional foods, medical equipment, etc.
