"The number one means of livelihood" returns for the special Tet season of 2026.

After two seasons, the reality TV show "The Ultimate Survival Guide" will return for its special season during Tet (Lunar New Year) 2026.

Having already captivated audiences with the two previous seasons, this year's special edition features actor Huy Khánh as the permanent team captain. Huy Khánh won both seasons 1 and 2, making him a familiar face to viewers. Additionally, actor Ma Ran Đô joins the cast for the first time as a team captain.

The guest list of the First Tet season's livelihood brings together many artists from different fields: artist Dai Nghia, Kim Tu Long, actors Le Nam, Quynh Ly, Huu Dang, Nguyen Thao, Tin Nguyen, Lam Thanh Nha, content creator Vinh Thich An Ngon and singers Nicky, Will (365).

Bringing a vibrant spring atmosphere, the artists experience the bustling activities of the Tet season, such as making candied star fruit, tending to Tet flowers, making lion dance heads, performing lion dances, and making incense sticks, alongside familiar crafts like brick making and tofu skin production…

During her journey to make a living, actress Quynh Ly was shocked to learn that bricklayers, carrying heavy loads and working in kilns over 50 degrees Celsius, only receive 4,000 VND for completing 100 bricks. Actor Le Nam felt heartbroken when he experienced the situation with a family making incense sticks, where 3-4 people toiled for a whole month to earn only 2.4 million VND, having to scrimp and save to cover expenses.

Artist Kim Tu Long, singer Nicky, and local people are making traditional Tet cakes.

These glimpses into real life add depth to the program, making "The First Struggle for Survival" a predicted source of spiritual nourishment that is both vibrant and deeply moving.

The program will officially air on HTV7 at 8:30 PM every Friday, starting January 9, 2026.

"First Livelihood" is the first reality TV show in Vietnam featuring artists pursuing livelihoods outside their profession, first airing in 2023. Each livelihood activity is closely linked to the real-life experiences of local people. Over the seasons, the authentic moments of labor, the adaptability and efforts of the artists, and the humanistic and traditional values ​​reflected in the food, scenery, and simple people have helped "First Livelihood" win the hearts of viewers.
