To keep the streets clean and beautiful.

According to the People's Committee of Song Cau Town, in addition to the regular household waste collection under contract with the company, associations, organizations, and residential areas also regularly organize campaigns to clean up the environment, especially in coastal areas. The rate of household waste collection in the town reached 37.46%.

In Tuy Hoa City, the "No Landfill Waste" project has been implemented since 2014. Since then, household waste has been collected and transported to the Tho Vuc landfill by Phu Yen Urban Environment Joint Stock Company and Tuan Tu Construction - Trading Company Limited for processing according to regulations. All wards and communes in the city have self-managed environmental sanitation teams and waste collection points. The city has intensified its efforts to educate all segments of the population about environmental protection. As a result, people are more proactive in collecting and processing waste, avoiding indiscriminate wastewater discharge, and implementing the "three clean" principles: clean houses, clean alleys, and clean streets. Agencies and units voluntarily sweep sidewalks in front of their offices and residences and maintain weekly general cleaning. Public trash bins have been placed in residential areas and inner city areas. Outskirt communes have designated daily waste collection points to prevent the accumulation of waste that detracts from the city's aesthetics.

Specifically, from January 1st, 2025, Tuy Hoa City will officially change the garbage collection schedule, emphasizing the principle of "No garbage being dumped on the streets or in front of houses during the day." Accordingly, household waste will only be collected between 7 PM and 11 PM, depending on the area, and will be collected that same night. The following morning, the streets and avenues will be spotlessly clean, with no trace of garbage remaining.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien from Binh Kien commune expressed her agreement: "Previously, around 2 PM, I would have to take the trash out in front of my house for sanitation workers to collect, so the afternoon trash would be left until the next day. Many days, because I left it out on the street early, dogs and cats would rummage for food, scattering trash everywhere, which was very unsanitary. Since the beginning of the year, the trash collection time has shifted to the evening, so my family can go about our daily activities comfortably until 9 PM, when we collect all the day's trash and gather it in front of our house. Thanks to this, there's no trash inside the house, and the street is clean when we go out in the morning because the trash has been collected overnight."
