Nam Ka is happy on the new journey

On the morning of June 30, the atmosphere in Nam Ka commune (Lak district) was filled with joy as officials and people welcomed the announcement of the Resolution and Decision of the Central and local governments on the merger of administrative units and two-level local governments.

Delegates and people of Nam Kar commune attended the online conference to announce Resolutions and Decisions of the Central and local governments.

Accordingly, Nam Ka commune was merged with Ea Rbil commune, officially forming a new Nam Ka commune with an area of ​​17,286 hectares. Of which, agricultural land accounts for 24.43%, the rest is forestry land.

The whole commune has 8 hamlets, with 1,630 households and 6,277 people, of which ethnic minorities account for more than 30.18%. The rate of near-poor households is 15.39%, equivalent to 251 households.

The merger is not only an administrative event, but is also expected to create a strong breakthrough, helping to fully exploit the local potential in agriculture, tourism and multi-ethnic culture.

Mr. Y Tanh Mlo, a prestigious person in the Ede ethnic community, shared that, with the characteristics of a commune in region 3, people's lives still face many difficulties. Therefore, investing in the development of the new commune is a valuable opportunity to comprehensively improve the material and spiritual lives of the people. Although the merger will force some people to move further to the new commune headquarters, in return, people will have more convenient access to administrative services right in the locality, instead of having to go to the district as before.

The festive atmosphere became even more bustling when the road leading to the commune center was brightly decorated with hundreds of national and party flags flying. In the eyes of the people, excitement and confidence in a bright future were clearly visible.

Ms. Lanh Thi Nhat (Plao Sieng hamlet, old Ea Rbil commune, now new Nam Ka commune) shared that the establishment of a two-level local government is not simply an administrative arrangement, but also brings a new breath of life, arousing confidence among all cadres and people. "I hope that essential areas such as health and education will receive more attention and investment, contributing to improving the quality of life of the people," Ms. Nhat shared.

Mr. Nay Y Ngoc, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Nam Ka commune, said that the attention and close direction of leaders at all levels, along with the trust and consensus of the people, are a great source of motivation to help the commune firmly step on the path of innovation. In the new period, the Party Committee of the commune clearly identified the core task of ensuring the comprehensive leadership of the Party in the fields of economy, culture, society, national defense and security in the area.

Along with that, the commune focuses on building a strong solidarity bloc between the Party, the government and the people, considering this as the foundation to promote sustainable development. Taking the people as the center, serving the people is the highest goal; all policies and strategies are aimed at ensuring the rights and meeting the legitimate aspirations of the people. From there, strive to build Nam Ka commune to be more and more civilized, rich and beautiful, suitable for the development requirements in the new period.

After the merger, the area and population of Nam Ka commune increased significantly, leading to a larger administrative workload. This posed many challenges for the staff and civil servants. However, with a high sense of responsibility, the staff and party members of Nam Ka commune will persevere in maintaining their will and determination to complete all assigned tasks well.

Based on that reality, Nam Ka commune proposed that the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee pay attention to investing in additional equipment, upgrading information technology infrastructure, and at the same time prioritizing support for remote communes such as Nam Ka. This is an important premise for the commune to gradually stabilize its organizational apparatus, improve management efficiency and develop sustainably in the new period.
