Since the morning of November 21, hundreds of people in areas that have just recovered from flooding have taken their motorbikes out to clean, wipe, and try to start them, but most of them won't start. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuy Ngau (Ward 3, Quy Nhon Dong Ward) said: "As soon as the water receded to my ankles, I rushed to take my motorbike to get it repaired because I was afraid of the crowd. But the shops near my house all refused because they were overloaded. I had to go about 5 km to get a place to pick up my motorbike, but they promised that even if I got it early, it would take 2 days to finish. Luckily, I got my motorbike back 1 day early, the repair cost 500,000 VND."

Actual surveys show that small repair shops in flooded residential areas are overloaded. In many places, vehicles have to be lined up and left overnight with caretakers. Mr. Nguyen Trong Kha, owner of a motorbike repair shop on Tran Thuc Tu Street (Quy Nhon Dong Ward), said: "The shop operates from 7am to 10pm and can only repair a maximum of 20 motorbikes per day. There are so many damaged vehicles that the shop is always crowded. Caring for vehicles is also very difficult."
Honda, Yamaha, and VinFast warranty centers also received hundreds of flooded motorbikes and electric vehicles. HEAD Toan Trung launched a special support program from November 22 to 23 with incentives of free oil changes, free labor, 20% discount on spare parts, and a VND2 million gift when exchanging an old vehicle for a new one. The program applies at HEAD Toan Trung 4 (113 - 115 - 117 Hung Vuong, Quy Nhon Bac Ward) and HEAD Toan Trung Quy Nhon (05 Nguyen Tat Thanh, Quy Nhon Ward).
Mr. Dang Cong Nam - Director of Head Hong Phuoc Co., Ltd. (03 - 07 Vo Nguyen Giap, Quy Nhon Ward) said: "Since November 21, the Company has received 300 flooded vehicles and repaired 100 of them. We support free labor costs for oil and air filter changes. The team of 9 technicians works day and night to repair as quickly as possible, following the correct procedures and publicly disclosing costs, without any additional costs."

For many people, a motorbike is both a means of transportation and a livelihood, and when the motorbike is not usable, difficulties immediately come from many sides. Understanding this, many shop owners support part of the labor cost or waive it for free, such as Mr. Nguyen Van Dat's shop (24 Le Trong Tan, Quy Nhon Dong ward) or Mr. Ngo Van Vu's shop (51 To Huu, Quy Nhon ward).
Mr. Vu shared: "More than 100 vehicles were damaged. My staff and I are working hard to repair them so that people can travel again."
Currently, repair centers are overloaded, many employees cannot return to work due to the impact of floods. Mr. Vu Thanh Luan, Director of VinFast Hai Thanh Company Limited, said: "We have implemented a program to support flooded electric motorbikes. We have received more than 70 vehicles, emergency repairs within 2-4 hours per vehicle. VinFast supports a 30% reduction in spare parts costs, handling IC failures and electrical short circuits so that customers can soon have a means of transportation."
VinFast Hai Thanh has two locations at 591 Hung Vuong (Quy Nhon Bac Ward) and 11 Vo Nguyen Giap (Quy Nhon Ward) to provide quick repairs, following the correct procedures, and with full warranty. The company also recommends that customers do not start their vehicles when they are flooded.
