On the morning of November 5, the young men of the SOS Team of Dong A University continued to be present at Chu Van An High School (Ha Nha commune) and the surrounding area to support people repairing motorbikes submerged in water after the recent historic flood.
Amid the drizzle, many people happily sat waiting their turn to have their vehicles repaired at the "rescue" point of Dong A University students.
Hundreds of flooded vehicles were cleaned by students, had their oil changed, engines dried, and spark plugs cleaned to restart after many days of being submerged in floodwater.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le (living in An Thang ward, Da Nang city) emotionally shared: "The flood water rose almost to the mezzanine, the motorbike was submerged in mud, but the students helped fix it for free, the motorbike started again, I was so happy that I cried. In the midst of difficulties, receiving such kindness is truly precious."
For nearly 5 days, the SOS Team of Dong A University with 50 students of the automobile major has deployed 5 free motorbike rescue points in deeply flooded areas in Da Nang. The activities were organized at schools such as: Nguyen Khuyen High School (An Thang Ward), Nguyen Trai High School (Hoi An Tay Ward), Pham Phu Thu - Go Noi High School (Go Noi Commune), Do Dang Tuyen High School (Phu Thuan Commune) and Chu Van An High School (Ha Nha Commune).

Mr. Le Dinh Luong, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Dong A University, said that along with vehicle rescue activities, the team also supported cleaning and sanitizing flooded school campuses. Previously, from October 30 to November 1, the team was also present in Hue to rescue nearly 300 motorbikes that had been submerged in water for many days after the floods.
Nguyen Van Tu, an Automotive student at Dong A University, shared that the students just hope to contribute a little to help people have means of transportation and soon stabilize their lives.
Tran Van Su, a final year student majoring in Automotive at Dong A University, considers this the most valuable practical lesson: “At school, we learn theory and practice in the workshop, but today is real life. When people need us, we join hands to help them. We are young, so doing something for others makes us happy!”
In the midst of the Central region struggling with floods, the image of students with oil-stained clothes but still smiling brightly moved everyone who witnessed it. This is the third year that the SOS team of Dong A University has participated in free vehicle rescue for people in heavily flooded areas, and the fourth year since the campaign to rescue more than 3,000 motorbikes for people returning home to avoid the epidemic at Hai Van Pass in 2021.
Not only stopping at repairing cars, recently, the youth of Dong A University also spread the spirit of sharing through many practical activities such as cooking and sending 600 meals including porridge, bread, eggs and milk to patients stuck at Quang Nam Regional General Hospital; supporting the transportation of 300 liters of diesel and 250 bottles of mineral water to the rescue force to transfer to Duy Xuyen Hospital, where many patients are being treated in emergency conditions lacking fuel and drinking water...

In times of hardship, human bonds become stronger. Oily hands and hot porridge sent out… are proof of the spirit of kindness and community responsibility of the youth of Dong A University.
