Building on revolutionary traditions, the Party Committee and government of Hoi An commune have focused on leading and directing the implementation of comprehensive solutions to effectively carry out political tasks.

Following the merger, Hoi An has 46 grassroots Party committees and branches, with 1,125 Party members. The local socio -economic situation continues to grow, and the people's lives are stable. According to Nguyen Thi Minh Kieu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Council of Hoi An commune, the commune is actively implementing key tasks and solutions in Party building, socio-economic development, and ensuring national defense and security. Regular dialogue and listening to the opinions of the business community and the people are maintained to promptly resolve any difficulties and shortcomings. The people are enthusiastic and confident in the leadership of the Party and the administration of the State.

According to Nguyen Xuan Thinh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoi An commune, the socio-economic situation will remain stable in 2025. Benefits for policy beneficiary families and families with meritorious contributions to the revolution will always be ensured with timely and accurate payments to eligible recipients. Healthcare for the people and disease prevention and control will continue to be prioritized and strictly monitored. Cultural and sports activities will be increasingly improved; political security, social order, and safety will be maintained and stabilized, with no serious crimes occurring in the area.

With a large population of 73,695 people, trade, services, and industry are thriving. The average per capita income exceeds 80 million VND per year. From An Hoa ferry terminal, follow provincial road 944 to Cuu Hoi intersection or along national highway 80B to the welcome gate of Hoi An commune, bordering Dong Thap province, near the commune's People's Committee. Along both sides of the road, shops and businesses are densely packed, with the highest concentration in the central market area.

By 2025, the entire commune will have 2,428 operating commercial and service establishments, 3 commercial and service projects meeting urban standards, and 9 markets operating stably. Businesses, cooperatives, and small traders are constantly diversifying their products and improving service quality, contributing to promoting the circulation of goods. The shopping and consumption needs of the people are increasing.

Hoi An also has 522 industrial and handicraft establishments. These establishments are maintained and developed steadily, with diverse and abundant product designs, better meeting market demands. Notably, the commune has two industrial clusters (Hoa An industrial cluster, 75 hectares; Hoa Binh industrial cluster, 75 hectares) and one Hoi An industrial park, 100 hectares.

According to Nguyen Hong Phuoc, Head of the Economic Department of Hoi An commune, agricultural production activities have always been a priority for the People's Committee of the commune, with synchronized and effective implementation. By 2025, the total production area (rice, fruit trees, vegetables) in the commune will reach 18,806 hectares. The average production value is 470 million VND/hectare of agricultural land, significantly contributing to socio-economic growth and job creation in the locality. Livestock farming is also developing strongly, with a total herd of nearly 4,000 head of cattle, over 96,000 head of poultry; 9 hectares of aquaculture and 272 cages with 57.7 million fish, a total production of 77,143 tons, with many diverse species such as catfish, tilapia, etc.

Regarding digital transformation, the level and ability to apply science and technology of the commune's officials and employees have been gradually improved. Digital transformation has permeated every corner of the residential area, and people are now gradually becoming accustomed to cashless payments when shopping and paying for services. Hoi An commune also cooperates with VNPT Cho Moi to build a synchronized and seamless information and telecommunications infrastructure in the area, serving the people and businesses. Administrative reform has been identified as a breakthrough and has achieved many positive results.

In 2026, Hoi An will continue to implement provincial transportation projects within its territory and call for investment in infrastructure for industrial zones, clusters, and urban areas, creating favorable conditions for expanding urban space, developing trade, services, and high-tech agriculture. At the same time, it will continue to mobilize social resources to upgrade infrastructure and create an environment to attract investment.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Kieu affirmed that in the coming time, the Party Committee of the commune will continue to consolidate the organizational structure, build the government, and reform the administration; thoroughly exploit the potential and advantages for economic development and support farmers in production. At the same time, it will effectively carry out Party building, social welfare, and mass mobilization work, determined to achieve and surpass the set targets, creating a foundation for breakthrough development in the next phase.
