As the village chief, Mr. Y Mu Mlo (commonly known as Ama Zim) is considered the "fire keeper" of the activities of Drah 2 village. Every day, in addition to his family's farming work, he also takes the time with members of the People's Mobilization Group and the Village Self-Management Committee to visit each household to talk, skillfully integrating propaganda and mobilizing people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws.

He reconciled with the villagers.

Drah 2 Village currently has 125 households with 102 people, of which 98% are ethnic minorities. Since joining the village mediation team in 2018, Mr. Y Mu has directly participated in mediating dozens of cases, from small conflicts between neighbors, troublemakers, to marital conflicts, land disputes. Thanks to his prestige, composure and patience, he has helped resolve many conflicts, restore neighborhood relationships and strengthen the great solidarity of the village.

Mr. Y Mu shared: “As the village chief, I always consider keeping peace for the people as a responsibility and a joy. Whenever families have conflicts, I just hope everyone listens to each other and thinks carefully so that the conflict can be resolved.

Recently, in Drah 2 village, there was an incident where two neighboring families had a conflict over children. Immediately, Mr. Y Mu directly intervened to mediate, patiently listened to opinions from both sides, analyzed right and wrong, explained the consequences of the prolonged conflict and advised the villagers to stay calm.

Ms. H'Pay Nie, the person who was reconciled, said that at first both families were a bit upset because they thought their children were wronged. But after listening to the village chief's detailed explanation, everyone calmed down. He explained to us that it was normal for children to be naughty, and if adults got angry, it would make the conflict more serious. After that, we understood the problem and realized that we were also a bit hasty. Now both families are as happy as before, without any more problems.

Mr. Y Mu's contributions not only help Drah 2 village maintain security and order but also strengthen community relationships, creating a solid foundation for households to work with peace of mind and develop the economy .

Typical economic development

At the age of 68, Mr. Y Tung Nie in Drao village is known as a typical example of agricultural economic development and improving people's lives.

Mr. Y Tung has 4 hectares of coffee mixed with durian. Thanks to the application of appropriate crop care and pest control techniques, his family earns more than 1.7 billion VND each year. In 2025, he will continue to expand production, buy more land and a car worth nearly 3 billion VND. Mr. Y Tung plans to build a new, more spacious house in 2026, as a stable place for his children and grandchildren and also as a driving force to continue sustainable economic development.

Not keeping his success to himself, for more than 20 years as a prestigious person, Mr. Y Tung has actively shared business experiences, provided technical guidance, and encouraged households to boldly change crop structure and apply care measures to improve productivity and quality of agricultural products.

Under his dedicated guidance, many families in the village have escaped poverty and stabilized their economy. Some households that previously had difficulty with land or lacked farming experience have now boldly expanded their acreage, applied new techniques, and increased the productivity of coffee, durian, and other crops.

Mr. Y Tung Nie shared: “What I want most is for people in the village to be confident in developing production, thereby taking better care of their families. Their success is also the joy and motivation for me to continue sharing my experiences, helping many people escape poverty and stabilize their lives.”

Besides his success in economic development, Mr. Y Tung Nie is also an exemplary father. He always teaches his children to work hard, save money and live responsibly towards the community. Thanks to his strict but loving education , all of Mr. Y Tung's children are successful and have stable jobs.

Examples like Mr. Y Mu Mlo and Mr. Y Tung Nie have become a solid spiritual support for ethnic minorities in Krong Buk commune. With their prestige, responsibility and devotion to the community, they not only contribute to maintaining village security and strengthening great solidarity, but also spread the spirit of overcoming difficulties and arousing the will to strive to become rich legitimately. Thereby, creating an important endogenous strength, building Krong Buk commune to become increasingly developed and civilized.
