Exemplary village chief

As the village head, Mr. Y Mú Mlô (commonly known as Ama Zim) is considered the "keeper of the flame" for the activities of Drah 2 village. Every day, in addition to his family's farming work, he also takes the time to visit each household with members of the People's Mobilization Team and the Village Self-Management Board to chat, skillfully incorporating propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws.

He mediated amicably between the merchants.
Mr. Y Mú Mlô mediated a conflict for the people of Drah 2 hamlet (Krông Búk commune).

Buôn Drah 2 currently has 125 households with 102 people, of which 98% are ethnic minorities. Since joining the village's mediation team in 2018, Mr. Y Mú has directly mediated dozens of cases, from minor conflicts between neighbors and unruly youths to marital disputes and land disputes. Thanks to his reputation, calmness, and patience, he has helped resolve many conflicts, restore neighborly relations, and strengthen the unity of the village.

Mr. Y Mú shared: “As the village head, I always consider maintaining peace for the villagers as both a responsibility and a joy. Whenever families have conflicts, I only hope that everyone will listen to each other and think things through so that the conflict can be resolved.”

Recently, in Drah 2 village, a conflict arose between two neighboring families over a child. Immediately, Mr. Y Mú stepped in to mediate, patiently listening to both sides, analyzing right and wrong, explaining the consequences of prolonged conflict, and advising the villagers to remain calm.

Ms. H'Păy Niê, who was the victim of the mediation, said that at first both families were a little upset because they thought their children had been wrongly accused. But after listening to the village chief's thorough explanation, everyone calmed down. He explained to them that children being mischievous is normal, and that adults who are hot-tempered will only make the conflict worse. After that, they understood the issue and realized they had been somewhat hasty. Now the two families are happy again, with no more misunderstandings.

Mr. Y Mú's contributions not only helped Drah 2 village maintain security and order but also strengthened community relations, creating a solid foundation for households to work and develop economically with peace of mind.

Typical economic development

At 68 years old, Mr. Y Tung Niê from Drao village is known as a prime example of developing agricultural economy and improving the lives of the people.

Mr. Y Tung owns 4 hectares of coffee intercropped with durian. Thanks to the application of proper crop care techniques and pest control, his family earns over 1.7 billion VND annually. In 2025, he plans to further expand production, purchasing additional land and a car worth nearly 3 billion VND. Mr. Y Tung intends to build a new, more spacious house in 2026, providing stable housing for his children and grandchildren, and serving as motivation for continued sustainable economic development.

Not keeping his success to himself, for over 20 years, Mr. Y Tung has served as a respected figure, actively sharing his business experience, providing technical guidance, and encouraging households to boldly change their crop structure and apply improved care methods to enhance agricultural productivity and quality.

Under his dedicated guidance, many families in the village have escaped poverty and achieved economic stability. Some households that previously faced difficulties with arable land or lacked farming experience have now boldly expanded their acreage, adopted new techniques, and improved the productivity of coffee, durian, and other crops.

Mr. Y Tung Niê shared: “What I wish for most is that the people in the village can confidently develop production, thereby taking better care of their families. Their success is also my joy and motivation to continue sharing my experience, helping more people escape poverty and stabilize their lives.”

Besides his economic success, Mr. Y Tung Niê is also an exemplary father. He always taught his children to be hardworking, thrifty, and responsible members of the community. Thanks to his strict yet loving upbringing , all of Mr. Y Tung's children are successful and have stable jobs.

Exemplary figures like Mr. Y Mú Mlô and Mr. Y Tung Niê have become strong pillars of moral support for the ethnic minority communities in Krông Búk commune. Through their prestige, responsibility, and dedication to the community, they not only contribute to maintaining village security and strengthening unity, but also spread the spirit of overcoming difficulties and inspiring the will to strive for legitimate wealth. This creates a crucial internal strength, contributing to the development and progress of Krông Búk commune.
