Dien Bien directed to strengthen the management of organizing meals for students.

In order to ensure food safety and hygiene in organizing meals for boarding and semi-boarding students in the province, the People's Committee of Dien Bien province has just issued an official dispatch requesting educational institutions to strengthen the management of meals for students at educational institutions.

Specifically, in Official Dispatch No. 5135 dated September 25 signed and issued by Comrade Vu A Bang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Bien province, it is requested that the Departments of Education and Training, Health, and Industry and Trade urgently establish an interdisciplinary inspection team to inspect the organization of meals for boarding and semi-boarding students in the province; if violations are discovered, the violating groups and individuals will be strictly handled according to their authority.

With the Department of Education and Training and the People's Committees of communes and wards, the People's Committee of Dien Bien province proposed to proactively strengthen state management of the organization of semi-boarding and boarding in educational institutions. In which, focus on implementing the following tasks: Continue to seriously implement the instructions of the Provincial People's Committee in Official Dispatch No. 331/UBND-KT dated August 25, 2025 on strengthening inspection to promptly detect, remove difficulties and obstacles and strictly handle violations related to the activities of local authorities at 2 levels.

At the same time, direct educational institutions in the management area to strictly implement regulations on boarding and semi-boarding to ensure absolute safety for students; strengthen management of nutritional menus, hygiene, food safety, food sources and processing procedures (have a separate area for food processing, a separate area for dividing food portions to ensure cleanliness, arrange enough shelves, racks, and tables to store food for students).

Increase investment in equipment and facilities such as warehouses, refrigerators for storing and preserving food; cabinets for storing food samples for students; ensure fire and explosion prevention and safety during food processing and cooking; implement financial transparency and strictly carry out self-inspection in educational institutions.

Choose a unit with the best capacity to supply food and meals for boarding and semi-boarding meals in educational institutions under authority.

Organize a review of food and meal supply contract terms to ensure strict compliance with legal regulations; strictly prohibit any interference or negative behavior in the selection of food suppliers in educational institutions.
