More than a decade ago, on the red basalt land of the Central Highlands, a big idea was realized: turning bauxite potential into an aluminum industry and moving towards aluminum smelting right in Dak Nong - now in Lam Dong province.

Overcoming difficulties, building industrial foundations

On September 18, 2015, Dak Nong Aluminum Company - TKV (DNA) was officially established with the mission of managing and operating Nhan Co Aluminum Factory, exploiting and processing bauxite, contributing to the State budget, creating jobs, and promoting local socio -economic development.

Nhan Co Alumina Factory is currently creating direct jobs for more than 1,100 workers.

From the very beginning, the Company faced countless difficulties in terms of progress, technology, site clearance and even public skepticism. From the heavy rain and wind at the construction site to the barricades of the people. From technical problems to the lack of operating personnel... Every step was a challenge.

However, with strong will, flexible management and solidarity, the collective of officers, engineers, workers and construction units have gradually overcome. November 10, 2016 - the memorable milestone when the first ton of hydrate was born - affirmed the initial success of a journey of relentless efforts.

The average aluminum consumption output of Dak Nong Aluminum Company - TKV reaches over 682,000 tons/year.

During the construction and testing phase, the Company received close attention and direction from the Central Government, TKV and authorities at all levels. Forces such as the Northeast Corporation (Ministry of Defense) also directly participated in the construction, creating the spirit of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" on the new land.

However, the implementation process is not without pressure: large scale of the project, high technical complexity, strict supervision requirements. Illegal construction, compensation complaints, large gatherings... have affected the progress. However, each "bottleneck" has been resolved thanks to close coordination between the Company, the government and the people.

Since Nhan Co Alumina Plant went into commercial operation, it has reached its design capacity in just over a year. In 2022, the equivalent alumina output reached over 740,000 tons, exceeding the design capacity by 113.8% - a clear demonstration of the Company's capacity and determination to master the technology.

All raw material consumption indicators such as coal, lime, caustic soda, flocculants... are better than designed. The team of officers, engineers and workers have mastered modern technological lines, gradually improving their qualifications, increasing productivity and ensuring stable product quality, meeting the needs of domestic and international markets.

Over the past 10 years, Dak Nong Aluminum Company - TKV has achieved many impressive figures. In particular, the average aluminum consumption output reached over 682,000 tons/year (far exceeding the design capacity of 650,000 tons). Product consumption output in the period of 2020-2025 increased by over 65,000 tons/year (equivalent to 10.02% compared to the period of 2015-2020) . Average revenue in the period of 2020-2025 reached over 3,500 billion VND, an average increase of over 538 billion VND, equivalent to 18.06% compared to the average annual revenue in the period of 2015-2020.

In the period of 2025 - 2035, Dak Nong Aluminum Company - TKV aims to maintain a stable output of over 1.2 million tons of aluminum/year after expansion; improve competitiveness, promote digital transformation, towards a smart factory model, environmentally friendly and harmonious development between enterprises - community - environment.

Many digital transformation projects have been and are being implemented by the Company. Notably, the computerization project serves the management and production operations, helping to modernize the process, improve operational efficiency and real-time management.

The average profit of Dak Nong Aluminum Company - TKV in the period of 2020-2025 is 866.7 billion VND (an increase of 833.94% compared to the period of 2015-2020). The average salary in the period of 2020-2025: 16.7 million VND/person/month (an increase of 42.74%). The average contribution to the State budget is 515 billion VND/year (an increase of 31.04%). The average cost of consumption decreased by 4.87 million VND/ton of hydrate and 8.46 million VND/ton of alumina compared to the period of 2015-2020.
