...In the western communes of Quang Ngai province, the model of "Party Committees in charge" of ethnic minority villages and hamlets not only promotes positive effects, but also spreads a strong spirit of companionship between the Party and the people in the journey of sustainable poverty reduction and building a prosperous and happy life.

Affirming the core role of the Party organization in mass mobilization work, the model of "Party Committee in charge" is a living proof of President Ho Chi Minh 's teaching: "If mass mobilization is skillful, everything will be successful". When Party members return to the grassroots, listen and stand side by side with the people, the trust of the people in the highlands is firmly consolidated.

From the Party's will to the people's heart

Implementing the Party's policy on strengthening mass mobilization work in the new situation, especially in remote areas where many ethnic minorities live, the Party Committees of Dak Ha, Dak Pxi and Ngok Reo communes have concretized it by establishing "Party Committees in charge" (Party Committees) in each ethnic minority village. This is a new model of skillful mass mobilization, demonstrating the creativity, flexibility and practicality of the Party Committee in implementing policies. Under the assignment of the Commune Party Committee, the Party Committees include exemplary Party members who understand the area, grasp the thoughts of the people, proactively "go to every alley, knock on every door" to propagate, mobilize, help people develop the economy and stabilize their lives.

Dak Ha commune has 29 villages and residential groups, including 6 villages with ethnic minorities living there, and the model is proving to be clearly effective. The story of the young couple A Ro-Y Ran in Kon Trang Mo Nay village is a typical example. Being of the Ba Na ethnic group, after getting married, the couple could only temporarily build a small house on the land given by their parents. Having no job, no land for production, their difficult life made the dream of escaping poverty seem far away. However, everything changed when the village Party Committee visited the family, learned about their situation, and then mobilized organizations and individuals to donate 105 million VND to build a new house for them. Not stopping there, the group leader also mobilized the donation of a breeding cow - the beginning of the young couple's journey of developing livestock farming.

“Having a house, buffaloes and cows, and the help of officials, my husband and I have more motivation to do business. Now we just want to save up to buy more land to grow coffee, aiming for a prosperous and good life.”

From being one of the poorest families in the village, they now have a decent property, the cow has also given birth to its first calf, the initial "valuable capital" is generating profit, helping to increase income. Secretary of the village Party cell Le Hong Tu said: "Previously, people still relied on the State, now they know how to work together to rise up. The Party Committees work with the government to encourage people to renovate mixed gardens, grow fruit trees, raise livestock, and create sustainable livelihoods."

The mass mobilization method in Dak Ha and neighboring localities is changing strongly thanks to the direct participation of party members and grassroots cadres. The support of Party Committees not only contributes to raising awareness, but also helps people overcome inherent psychological barriers, gradually creating a new life.

In Kon Gu II village, Ngọk Réo commune, where more than 90% of the population are ethnic minorities following Catholicism, it used to be a "hot spot" for religious activities, and people's lives still face many difficulties. Commune police officers and soldiers have played a key role in stabilizing the situation. Based on the practical needs of the people, the commune police directly mobilized and supported the construction of 4 gratitude houses worth more than 280 million VND and more than 50 million VND to buy plants and seedlings for households lacking production materials. “Thanks to the support of the police force, the lives of the villagers have changed significantly. Many households that used to rely on the State now know how to grow crops and raise livestock. People comply well with the Party's policies and guidelines and the State's laws. Many families that were previously poor because they did not know how to work and produce, and were not willing to work, have now changed their awareness and thinking,” said Secretary of the Kon Gu II Village Party Cell, A Dram.

In Dak Pxi commune, the Commune Military Command actively linked mass mobilization work with the emulation movement "Armed forces join hands to build new rural areas". Through sessions of helping people pour concrete roads in rural areas, planting trees, instructing on farming techniques... the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers became closer and more familiar. This is the method of "skillful mass mobilization" through concrete actions, contributing to the people's efforts to build a solid new rural area from the grassroots. That spirit of "getting involved" has contributed to helping more than 100 poor ethnic minority households gradually rise up through their own efforts, with the support of the Party organization. Dozens of typical models have been deployed and replicated, contributing to shaping a new way of life, arousing the aspiration to escape poverty for ethnic minority communities.

Strengthening national unity

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dak Ha Commune Party Committee, Y Tho, shared: “The skillful mass mobilization models, especially the village Party Committee Team, not only help people change their awareness and strive to escape poverty, but also improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization at the grassroots level. It is thanks to being close to the people and for the people that the Party organization can truly reach the hearts of the people.”

In the coming time, the Dak Ha Commune Party Committee will replicate the model to 100% of villages and hamlets; at the same time, integrate it with key programs on hunger eradication and poverty reduction, household economic development, and new rural construction. The goal is not only to help people escape poverty, but also to help the whole community develop comprehensively and sustainably, and above all, to strengthen the great national unity bloc.

Practice shows that when the Party organization and Party members are truly close to the grassroots and closely accompany the people, all policies and guidelines will be put into practice. The model of "Party Committee in charge" has become a real movement, spreading the spirit of "skillful mass mobilization", arousing the will to rise up in every house and every field in the western region of Quang Ngai.
