To Hien Thanh High School was established on September 9, 1995, according to Decision No. 1680 of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee on the establishment of To Hien Thanh Semi-Public High School (now To Hien Thanh High School). The school is located in Dong Son Ward, old Thanh Hoa City (now Hac Thanh Ward, Thanh Hoa Province).

After 30 years of construction and development, from the early days with many difficulties in facilities, the team had only 7 teachers and 152 students. Up to now, the school has 74 teachers and staff with 100% qualified teachers and staff, of which nearly 45% have Master's and Doctorate degrees.
Representatives of the Department of Education and Training awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level to teachers.
Over the past 30 years, the school has had more than 200 provincial-level excellent student awards. Every year, 80-90% of students pass the university and college entrance exams. Many students confidently participate in competitions such as: "Echoes of Thanh land", " Science and technology for teenagers", "Applying interdisciplinary knowledge to solve practical problems", contest to learn about the history of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee... and achieve high results.
Over 30 years of construction and development, To Hien Thanh High School has been recognized with many awards: Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training , many consecutive years receiving Certificate of Merit from the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa; Labor Union, Red Cross and School Youth Union have all been commended at all levels.
Representatives of the Department of Education and Training presented certificates of merit to 7 teachers for excellently completing their tasks in the 2024-2025 school year.
Speaking at the ceremony, teacher Nguyen Tai Quyen, Principal of To Hien Thanh High School, sincerely thanked all levels and sectors for their attention and support; and expressed gratitude for the great contributions of generations of teachers, staff and students of the school. At the same time, he emphasized: "Teachers and students of the school are actively participating in emulation movements, carrying out campaigns to bring Resolution 29-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee on Fundamental and Comprehensive Innovation of Education and Training into school practice. Along with that, we will strengthen discipline, life skills education and life values for students; actively innovate teaching methods; improve school facilities in the spirit of cleaner, greener to ensure essential requirements for educational activities".
Leaders of To Hien Thanh High School awarded 3 teachers for having excellent teaching hours at the provincial level.
At the ceremony, many teachers of the school were awarded noble titles and awards in teaching and learning.
