Investment connection conference for businesses from Ho Chi Minh City to Ca Mau province

Within the framework of the Ca Mau Crab Festival - 2nd time in 2025 and the event "Hello Ca Mau", on the morning of November 18, in Ho Chi Minh City, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province coordinated with the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to organize an investment connection conference for Ho Chi Minh City enterprises to Ca Mau province, aiming to create a new step forward in economic cooperation.

On the side of Ca Mau province, there were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Thuy; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Chi Nguyen.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai affirmed: Ca Mau province always accompanies and creates the most favorable conditions for businesses and investors when they come to invest in the province; actively and promptly resolves with the highest sense of responsibility; always stands side by side with businesses and investors to exploit and promote effectively and sustainably the available potentials of the province.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai hopes that, through the contributions and suggestions of investors and experts at the conference, the province will be able to plan policies and orient the province's economic development after the merger, contributing to promoting the effective exploitation of the local potential and advantages, gradually turning Ca Mau province into a growth pole of the Mekong Delta region, a center of rapid, sustainable, comprehensive development, confidently entering a new era of development with the whole country.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung affirmed: With the role of being the economic, financial, scientific, technological and innovation center of the country, Ho Chi Minh City is ready to be a bridge and a reliable partner to join Ca Mau in developing a highly competitive and sustainable economy.

With the spirit of being proactive, practical and accompanying businesses, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung hopes that the functional agencies of the two localities will proactively provide information, clearly explain the mechanism, promptly receive and handle proposals and recommendations from investors; at the same time, businesses and investors need to frankly share their needs and desires for cooperation.

Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung suggested that the two sides' promotion focal points continue to play a long-term role as a bridge, monitoring progress after the conference, supporting businesses from the initial contact step until the project comes into operation. From there, creating a new step in the development link between Ho Chi Minh City and Ca Mau province, contributing to the overall socio-economic growth of the region and the whole country.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee Nguyen Duc Hien assessed and pointed out the highlights of the potential and advantages of Ca Mau province. Thereby, he suggested that Ca Mau province thoroughly exploit its strengths to serve development, especially in aquaculture, renewable energy, eco-tourism, logistics, etc. However, the province needs to focus on removing existing problems and limitations in institutions and policies to unleash resources.

Thereby, he committed to accompanying Ca Mau province to effectively implement the Party and State's mechanisms and policies, creating favorable conditions for businesses to develop.

In their speeches at the conference, delegates highly appreciated the potential, advantages, role and position of Ca Mau province after the merger, especially the role of Hon Khoai dual-use general port in socio-economic development, ensuring local defense and security... From there, they proposed orientations and breakthrough solutions to help Ca Mau develop rapidly and sustainably in the future, focusing on developing connecting infrastructure and logistics; perfecting energy infrastructure and developing a national renewable energy center; perfecting institutions, investment environment and strengthening the private economic sector; training human resources and developing science and technology. In addition, it is necessary to prioritize the strategy of developing a green economy and a circular economy.

At this conference, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with T&T Group in the fields of services, logistics, urban commercial service complexes, urban areas and renewable energy development; signed with Vietnam Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company to implement the Tac Thu Industrial Park Infrastructure Business Project; signed with Phuc Hoang Nguyen Group Joint Stock Company to access investment research for the Nam Can Eco-tourism - Service Urban Area Project in Nam Can Economic Zone; signed with Vietnam Royal Investment Group Joint Stock Company in exploiting and developing green energy and renewable energy in the province; signed with Shinec Joint Stock Company to open up cooperation opportunities to implement the Ninh Quoi Industrial Park Infrastructure Business Investment Project.

The signed memorandums of understanding marked a new step forward in the cooperative relationship between Ca Mau province and enterprises investing in the province.
