Forecasts indicate that in the coming days, the number of flights at major airports such as Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat will continue to increase due to the high demand for travel after the Tet holiday.
The Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) announced that during the Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Snake 2025 (from January 25th to February 3rd), VATM successfully managed 25,328 flights.
Notably, on January 25th (the 26th day of the Lunar New Year), the unit operated a record number of flights, reaching 3,005.
Major international airports such as Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai, and Da Nang saw a significant increase in the number of takeoffs and landings during the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday.

Specifically, at Tan Son Nhat airport, there were 978 flights (on February 2nd, the 5th day of Tet), Noi Bai airport received 570 flights (on February 2nd), and Da Nang recorded 269 flights (on February 2nd).
Thanks to close coordination between aviation units, meteorological agencies, and other relevant authorities, air traffic control during the Tet holiday remained stable and safe.
The information, navigation, and flight monitoring systems are maintained stably and smoothly, making a significant contribution to minimizing the number of aircraft having to circle in the air at high-traffic airports.
In addition to ensuring flight operations, security and safety at aviation facilities throughout the Tet holiday were also guaranteed. The forces on duty diligently carried out their duties of protection, patrolling, guarding, and maintaining work discipline, ensuring order and safety at all agencies and units.

A representative from VATM affirmed that they will continue to ensure the safety and stability of flights throughout the peak period of the Lunar New Year (Year of the Snake).
