Diva Hong Nhung undergoes a transformation after health setbacks.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - After experiencing health setbacks, Hong Nhung chose music as a way to rediscover herself, to find hope and look towards the future.

Recently, Hong Nhung attracted attention when she publicly revealed her breast cancer diagnosis and her positive attitude during treatment. The singer said that the health setback made her realize that time is limited, while the love of her audience is boundless. She remembered the advice of the late musician Trinh Cong Son, to always live life to the fullest.

Therefore, Hồng Nhung recently released the music video "Tự hỏi" (I Ask Myself) - a musical product that marks a transformation in both her genre and performance style. The song both portrays a strong spirit and affirms the singer's confident return.

In this project, Hong Nhung conveys melodies about love with a powerful spirit, reflecting her own profound life journey and experiences.

Sharing her thoughts on the project, Hong Nhung expressed: “The song was a completely new experience because I was used to classic ballads. I feel fortunate to be able to experiment with new things in my own music with talented young collaborators; it's a source of motivation for artists to continue creating.”

The music video was conceived and directed by Phuong Vu (Antiantiart) along with two young artists, Trung Tran and Lope Pham. Choreographer Tan Loc and the Arabesque dance troupe brought a contemporary visual language to the show.

The music video's setting was the Hanoi Opera House – a space steeped in artistic significance and also a place that holds many memories for Hong Nhung. Through this, the music video conveys both her love for her homeland and affirms the image of an "ageless artist" who can always reinvent herself on any stage.

Notably, during the filming of the music video, Hong Nhung had to perform a scene hanging from a height of 9 meters while still undergoing treatment and with her surgical wound not yet healed. Therefore, she had to take painkillers to complete this scene.

In return, the music video received much praise from viewers, marking a musical transformation for Hong Nhung and spreading a positive message about love and life. The love story in the music video is portrayed with a contemporary spirit: despite profound sadness, there is no despair, always maintaining faith in a happy future.

Hong Nhung believes that no boundaries or age can hinder artistic creativity.
