Recently, Hong Nhung attracted attention when she publicly announced that she had breast cancer and her treatment process with a positive spirit. The female singer said that her health incident made her realize that time is limited, but the love of the audience is limitless. She remembered the words of the late musician Trinh Cong Son, always living life to the fullest.
That is why, recently, Hong Nhung released the MV “Tu mo” – a music product that represents a change in both genre and performance style. The song both depicts a strong spirit and affirms the singer’s ability to return.

In this project, Hong Nhung sends melodies about love with a strong spirit, expressing her journey and profound life experiences.
Sharing about the project, Hong Nhung expressed: “The song is a completely new experience because I am used to classical ballads. I feel lucky to be able to experiment with new things in my own music with talented young collaborators, which is a source of motivation for artists to continue creating."
The MV was conceived and directed by Phuong Vu (Antiantiart) and two young artists Trung Tran and Lope Pham. Choreographer Tan Loc and the Arabesque dance troupe bring a contemporary visual language.
The MV was set at the Hanoi Opera House - a space with a strong artistic imprint and also a place that holds many memories for Hong Nhung. Through that, the MV both conveys her love for her homeland and affirms the image of an "ageless artist" who can always renew herself on any stage.

Notably, while filming the MV, Hong Nhung had to perform a scene where she hung from a height of 9m while she was still undergoing treatment and her surgical wound had not yet healed. Therefore, she had to take painkillers to perform this scene.
In return, the MV received many compliments from the audience, marking a turning point in Hong Nhung's music, while spreading a positive message about love and life. The love story in the MV is expressed in the spirit of the times: Although there is deep sadness, there is no despair, always looking towards a happy future.
Hong Nhung believes that no boundaries or age can prevent artistic creativity.
