City delegation visits outstanding scientist.

On the afternoon of May 14th, Mr. Nguyen Viet Long, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, led a delegation to visit Dr. Tran Du Lich, Senior Economic Expert, and Professor Dr. Truong Dinh Kiet, former Vice Rector of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, on the occasion of Vietnam Science and Technology and Innovation Day, May 18th.

During a visit to Dr. Tran Du Lich, Senior Economist , Chairman of the Advisory Council for the Implementation of Resolution 98 on Special Mechanisms for Ho Chi Minh City, Member of the National Financial and Monetary Policy Advisory Council, Member of the Ho Chi Minh City Science Council, and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam International Arbitration Center, Mr. Nguyen Viet Long extended his best wishes for good health to Dr. Tran Du Lich and his family. He also expressed that, in his various capacities and as a scientist and researcher, Dr. Tran Du Lich has made significant contributions to Ho Chi Minh City. Many pilot policies during the city's development process bear his mark, such as policies on developing the capital market, the stock market, the privatization of state-owned enterprises, the infrastructure development investment fund, and the concession of state-invested road construction.

Comrade Nguyen Viet Long expressed his hope that Dr. Tran Du Lich, with his extensive knowledge, would continue to play an important bridging role between central government policies and their practical implementation in Ho Chi Minh City. He hoped that Dr. Tran Du Lich would advise Ho Chi Minh City on specific mechanisms, empowering the city while simultaneously assigning responsibility, in order to "transform" it and create breakthrough development momentum.

During a visit to Professor Dr. Truong Dinh Kiet (85 years old), former Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and former Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Stem Cell Association, Comrade Nguyen Viet Long shared that in recent years, the Party and State have issued many important guidelines and policies to promote the development of science and technology and improve the quality of healthcare for the people.

"Professor Dr. Truong Dinh Kiet, a leading expert in the field of Medical Genetics and Stem Cells in Vietnam, will continue to contribute to improving the quality of stem cell and gene scientists ; and continue to bring Vietnam's stem cell field to prominence on the world stage," Comrade Nguyen Viet Long conveyed.
