Telecom companies must prevent illegal information at A80 event

This is a request in Official Dispatch No. 3993/BKHCN – CVT of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) sent to telecommunications service providers with network infrastructure on August 19, 2025 regarding ensuring communication on the occasion of National Day, September 2.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Science and Technology requires telecommunications enterprises such as VNPT, Viettel, MobiFone, FPT, CMC... to coordinate with relevant units to promptly detect and prevent acts of taking advantage of telecommunications networks and the Internet to send and disseminate information with illegal content, and to disseminate viruses that destroy electronic information portals/pages.

Telecommunications businesses must be ready to support, guide, and warn service users about fraudulent acts on the internet by subjects who take advantage of telecommunications networks to commit fraud and misappropriate property in order to proactively prevent and avoid them.

The Ministry of Science and Technology requires telecommunications enterprises with network infrastructure to strengthen plans to ensure communication, develop specific plans, and arrange staff, civil servants, and workers to ensure communication during the holiday. At the same time, deploy solutions to ensure network security; ensure smooth communication to serve the communication needs of state agencies, organizations, enterprises, and telecommunications service users during this time.

Along with that, we are building a plan to expand transmission capacity and domestic and international connection bandwidth to ensure that there is no network congestion at times when there is a large number of subscribers accessing the network.

In addition, the Ministry of Science and Technology also requested units such as VNPT, Viettel, MobiFone to increase the number of mobile BTS vehicles to crowded areas such as squares, parks, flower gardens, walking streets, areas for fireworks displays, organizing celebrations, especially in areas where military parades and marches of forces are held to be ready to supplement the arising traffic, ensure smooth communication, no network congestion, and maximally meet the communication needs of telecommunications service users.

Enterprises must also prepare plans for incident handling, information response, and mutual response between enterprises in the same area when necessary (roaming, sharing, shared infrastructure use, etc.) to ensure maximum response to emerging needs for telecommunications services of agencies, organizations, enterprises, and service users.

Along with that, ensure good security, safety, fire prevention and fighting at agencies and units during the holidays. Prepare plans to ensure communication in disaster prevention, search and rescue if natural disasters or sudden disasters occur during the holidays.
