The food market next to the rice fields in An Nhut commune, Long Dien district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province reopened on the afternoon of March 20. Right after rush hour, hundreds of cars and motorbikes lined up on Highway 3 to the market. Cars from Vung Tau, Ba Ria pass, cars from Xuyen Moc, Chau Duc arrive...
The market is held on a concrete road in the field next to green rice fields, fragrant with milk. Next to the infield road is an irrigation ditch. The food here is rich and diverse: sausage rolls, banh xeo, chicken feet, grilled meat, grilled corn, boiled cassava, seafood...
The food market was organized by the government last Tet, but from March 1 it had to be temporarily stopped to arrange additional car parking because diners coming to the market stopped their cars on Highway 3, causing traffic insecurity.
Up to now, the government has arranged parking lots as well as other items such as trash bins, fencing irrigation ditches and field roads.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha said that thanks to the food market and selling spring rolls here, she was able to make a living after losing her job at a garment company for a long time. Every day she sells, she earns 200.000 - 300.000 VND in profit.
The food market brings many surprises to diners. A diner said this food market model is very attractive. Because the food here is affordable, sitting next to the "chill chill" rice fields smells of milk, watching the sunset, very poetic, fresh, wonderful.
Present to inspect, survey and urge at the food market, Mr. Huynh Son Tuan - Secretary of Long Dien District Party Committee - said that the district and commune are very cherished and concerned about this model after consulting in Dong Thap. .
“The commune's internal field roads are concrete roads, so the businesses are clean and attractive, attracting customers. The model not only helps people have jobs but also develops new and unique community tourism," said Mr. Tuan.
Many YouTubers, Facebookers, and TikTokers come to the food market to get views
Mr. Nguyen Tuong Thanh - Chairman of An Nhut Commune People's Committee - said there are currently more than 60 stalls in the food market and hundreds of other households have registered to do business here. Whether to expand the market or not must wait for time to be evaluated and considered.
On the afternoon of March 20, when the market reopened, there were quite a few YouTubers, Facebookers, and TikTokers who came to the food market to film and stream live for views.
