The workshop aims to create opportunities for exchanging and connecting knowledge among scientists in the fields of Marxist-Leninist science and Ho Chi Minh Thought. Particularly in the context of globalization and international integration, the research and teaching of Marxist-Leninist science and Ho Chi Minh Thought is one of the key tasks of ideological and professional work in universities in Vietnam.

Attending the workshop were Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province; leaders of the Propaganda Department and Political Schools of provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region; and approximately 110 scientists who are leading experts in the field of Marxist-Leninist Science and Ho Chi Minh Thought.
In his welcoming remarks, Distinguished Educator, Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Minh Cu - Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of Cuu Long University, stated that the organizing committee had received 200 articles from 230 authors, including scientists; leaders and lecturers from universities and colleges; the National Political Academy; the Communist Magazine; the National Political Academy Region 2, the National Political Academy Region 4; the Ho Chi Minh City Cadre Academy; provincial and city political schools; political academies and military academies under the Ministry of National Defense; political training centers in districts and towns; and agencies and departments nationwide.

This shows that organizing the seminar met the extremely urgent and practical need for innovation in teaching and learning Marxist-Leninist science and Ho Chi Minh Thought at training institutions nationwide in the current situation. The organizing committee and editorial board divided the articles into three main themes: The role and vitality of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought in the present era; Innovation in teaching Marxist-Leninist science; and Innovation in teaching Ho Chi Minh Thought.
At the conference, there were 10 direct presentations by experts in the fields of Marxist-Leninist science and Ho Chi Minh Thought.

The discussion focused on key issues affirming the importance, scientific value, and vitality of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought; the research, application, and development of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought in the new context; solutions to improve the quality of lecturers teaching Marxist-Leninist science and Ho Chi Minh Thought; the need for innovation in teaching, methods, and assessment of Marxist-Leninist science and Ho Chi Minh Thought in a modern and creative direction; and solutions for applying digital technology in teaching and learning to enhance the attractiveness and effectiveness of student learning.
