At the program, philanthropists sponsored and provided financial assistance to 15 students from extremely disadvantaged backgrounds in Bat Xat commune, Lao Cai province; the support level is 500,000 VND per child per month.

Every month, the Bat Xat Border Guard Station sends officers to coordinate with schools to encourage and monitor the children's learning progress, while also guiding families on how to receive and use the financial support appropriately and effectively.

Previously, in 2024, the Y Tý Border Guard Station also implemented the "Godmother" model, helping 31 disadvantaged children in its jurisdiction to continue attending school.

The implementation of the "Godmother" model demonstrates the responsibility and affection of the Lao Cai Border Guard Force towards the ethnic minorities in the border region; helping people improve their material and spiritual lives, and encouraging students to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies. This strengthens the solidarity and close bond between the military and the people, encouraging them to actively participate with the border guards in managing and protecting national sovereignty and border security, and building a prosperous and strong border region.
