Welcoming the first group of international tourists to arrive in Ha Long on the first day of the new year.

Congratulating, presenting flowers and lucky money to the first tourists to arrive in Ha Long during the traditional Lunar New Year, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Cao Tuong Huy wished the tourists unforgettable experiences in Ha Long, especially the beauty of the World Heritage site Ha Long Bay. He also hoped that tourists would receive a warm and hospitable welcome from the people of Quang Ninh, along with unique traditional cultural activities and customs of celebrating the Lunar New Year in various regions of the province.

Leaders of Quang Ninh province and its departments congratulated the first tourists to arrive in Ha Long on the first day of Tet (Lunar New Year).

Mr. Kim Cheawon, a tourist from South Korea, shared: "Being able to visit Ha Long, Quang Ninh during the traditional Lunar New Year, I feel very lucky. Everyone welcomed me with genuine warmth and hospitality, and I received lucky money according to Vietnamese New Year customs. I feel very happy and this will certainly be an unforgettable memory during my stay in Ha Long."

On the very first day of the Lunar New Year (Year of the Dragon), many international tourist groups arrived to visit Ha Long Bay via the Ha Long International Cruise Port.

Meanwhile, Ms. Soi Yuna from South Korea happily stated: "This will definitely be a very enjoyable experience for me to visit Ha Long during the Vietnamese Lunar New Year. I will definitely return to Ha Long on many other occasions because I love the beautiful scenery of Ha Long Bay and the friendliness and hospitality of the local people."

On the first day of the Lunar New Year (Year of the Dragon), Ha Long International Cruise Port welcomed nearly 2,000 visitors to Ha Long Bay. In 2024, Ha Long International Cruise Port is expected to welcome 1.4 million visitors, representing a growth of 25-30% compared to 2023. Particularly for the international cruise ship segment, Ha Long International Cruise Port is projected to receive over 60 international cruise ships in 2024.

Mr. Pham Van Hiep, Director of Ha Long International Cruise Port - SunGroup Corporation, said: Forecasting an increase in both domestic and international tourists in the coming period, Ha Long International Cruise Port will invest in adding more berths, deploying more personnel, and increasing the number of vehicles transporting tourists. Simultaneously, it will coordinate with relevant authorities such as the Inland Waterway Port Authority, the Ha Long Bay Management Board, and the Border Guard to regulate traffic, prevent congestion, and ensure tourists receive the best possible service.
