These are pumping stations that play an important role in preventing flooding in Phu Ly Ward, Dong Van I IP, Dong Van II IP, Chau Son IP and part of the agricultural production area in the northern part of the province.
According to the report of the Ha Nam Irrigation Works Exploitation Company, in response to the forecast information that storm No. 10 is likely to directly affect the province, from the afternoon of September 28, pumping stations in the Ha Nam region (old) have operated pumping units, pumping and draining buffer water, proactively responding to possible storms in the area, focusing on draining buffer water in the A48 and A46 canals as well as the internal canals. Currently, the pumping stations have arranged workers to work 24/7 to operate the units and regularly check and clear the flow in the rainwater drainage channels outside the industrial parks.
Through the actual inspection of pumping stations, the Provincial Party Secretary Truong Quoc Huy directed: Ha Nam Irrigation Works Exploitation Company in coordination with the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Park Management Board to proactively review all drainage systems for industrial parks, clear the flow, promptly drain water for industrial parks, and prevent flooding in industrial parks. Currently, Dong Van I and II Industrial Parks have many investors in operation, contributing a large budget to the province, as well as creating jobs for many workers. If flooding occurs in the industrial park, it will affect the production of enterprises, which will affect the overall development of the province and the investment attraction process.
For the inland areas, the Provincial Party Secretary Truong Quoc Huy requested the companies exploiting irrigation works to proactively drain the buffer water to minimize crop damage and protect agricultural products for farmers. The relevant agencies strictly follow the on-duty regulations and monitor the developments of storm No. 10 to have timely response solutions.
