On the afternoon of January 23rd, Comrade Truong Quoc Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, visited, presented gifts, and extended New Year greetings to the families of Comrade Phan Hung, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and former Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Comrade Nguyen Xuan Dong, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and former Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and several other former key leaders of the province.
At the places he visited, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inquired about the health of former key leaders of the province and their relatives, expressing gratitude for the contributions of these former key leaders to the development of Ha Nam province throughout the years.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also provided information on the highlights of the province's socio-economic development. In 2023, despite many difficulties and challenges, with the spirit of unity, dynamism, creativity, and leveraging the strength of the entire Party, people, army, and business community, the province's economic growth rate reached 9.41% (ranking 5th in the Red River Delta region and 8th nationwide). Per capita income reached 96.3 million VND; the poverty rate decreased to 2.11%. Social security was ensured, and policies and regulations were implemented promptly, practically, and effectively. Political security and social order and safety were maintained.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024 (Year of the Dragon), on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee extended wishes for health, prosperity, and happiness to former key leaders of the province and their families. He expressed his hope that they and their families would uphold revolutionary traditions and continue to contribute to the overall development of the province. He also encouraged them to mobilize their families, relatives, and the people to abide by the policies and laws of the Party and State, actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, and build an increasingly prosperous homeland.
Representatives of the families and former key leaders of the province expressed their gratitude for the attention of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and especially the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. They also pledged to continue making positive contributions to the overall development of the province. Representatives of the families and former key leaders of the province also hoped that the current provincial leaders would continue to promote unity and creativity, making correct and effective decisions in leadership and guidance, and wished the province continued prosperity.
